my brothers imported toyota corrola 4WD estate carb packed in, so... out came a 1/4 inch 6x3 flat plate, and an old XR2 carb... 3hrs later, plate bolted to manifold, carb bolted to plate, throttle brackets sorted, ran like a dream, and it went up from 26 to 29mpg. once we fitted a home-made lift kit, BMW 14" steel wheels with all season tyres, it was unstoppable in the bad snow drifts in northumberland for 8yrs cider chicken dinner cider

Good job... nice to have some support the canal, and the new welders are so small.... would like to have the one with lcd- screen and "some of that pre- settings" all new machines have...but my I have now have to do...have just used flux so far, gas are extremely expensive here...-but when im going to do fancyer stuff, I will be trying to go gas- welding...

Never really done it , but my dad has for allot of his life , and has had no real issues with it , restored many cars, switches to stick welding for thicker stuff ..look gasless welding not the prettiest .. but it functions . and saves you carrying a bottle around...

@@alxgu198 i switched over to "adam gas" for mig gas , no monthly rentals , ok not free , but something you can look into later ( avoid those little bottles they really dont last long )

My friend (also a matt) had a white hatch one until his brother slide it into a kerb in the snow. This was back in early oo's I do remember seeing quite a few ones like yours but mainly white ones.

well previous owner ran it out of oil so basically the piston and block where cooked , so replaced
