Michael Butch is one of the best gypsy songwriters and innovators of the gypsy culture in modern times. One has to see him and his top notch band live to fully feel and appreciate the sheer magical experience he summons into this realm with every musical phrase he brings into this reality.

I wonder if any of the kilts he wears are his Scottish clan tartans. I have three tartans from my clan, the fancy that you were for special occasions, a regular which is so blazing colourful anyone in the clan or those around would have to wear sunglasses , then there is a hunting kilt that was a medium grey with muted red. That looks like a crest on the front of his scarf.

❤ GRAZIE per la condivisione. Amo il suono, il timing, il fraseggio e le soluzioni armoniche di Lorne Lofsky. Un Gigante della chitarra.

What a treat anytime to hear Lorne Lofsky -- such deep playing (who else is going to quote the B section of "Nica's Dream" !!) I learned about this tune just about 40 years ago when I bought Lorne's and Ed Bickert's first duo album, "The Quartet of Lorne Lofsky and Ed Bickert And Friends" (on which Neil Swainson also appears). Thanks so much for making this amazing performance available (especially those remarkable closeups !)
