Qasida burda is not something that is being thought by the people of the sunnah. We should only take our knowledge from people of knowledge who follow the path sahaba. Do your research and see for yourself. Abu hanifa, malik, ahmed and ash shaafi'i were not on the path of sufism and had nothing to do with that, rather they spend their lives spreading the sunnan of our beloved prophet. This knowledge is your deen. So just how you would be carefull which doctor you would chose, be even more carefull from who you take knowledge of the deen.

Qasidah al-Burda is the most highly respected poem by Ahlus Sunnah, and in Islamic history in general. It is not just a thing for Sufis, and Sufis are still Sunnis (almost entirely Sunni, except for a tiny minority).

@@heemahustla The Prophet SAW never sat with women in a majlis like that ever. No report transmits anything close to that. Rather what you have from is the opposite, which is extreme gheerah regarding his women folk. He would not let his wives be around blind men.. what makes you think this is close to fine.

Very meditative with the repeating words in the background. Can I find the lyrics anywhere? What is the meaning/translation?

The basis of the song, "Burakia" begins with a prayer to God, asking for blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad who rode the Burak (a creature he rode on the famous night journey) and is known as the eye of existence, referred to as "Taha." The song then moves on to praising God as the generous and provider of sustenance. The repeating words are: Allahuma salle ala'nabi (O God send blessings upon the Prophet) and goes on to: Allahuma salle ala'nabi, rakib al'burak - O Allah, bless the Prophet who rode on the Burak Muhammad ayn'al wujud Taha - Muhammad, the eye of existence, whose name is Taha (one of the names given to the Prophet Muhammad) You can find further lyrics by searching Burakia or Rijal'lah the names of the two songs performed in this!
