Because, I used a Plus(+) between the point estimate (x bar) and the margin of error, not a minus (-). If it were minus, I would have equated it to the 5.22.

Please with the example 1, there a mistake the answer you got. (0.0126) was the solution for what was in the bracket( the margin of error). I think you were supposed to multiply that with 1.96. I stand to be corrected 😊
