Damn this is such a good interview. Love Transit so much. Such a unique band amongst a bunch of standard typical emo pop bands at the time. They really had a unique sound

Teenage Wrist’s music took a downturn when he left.

I'm here to say that first generation Teenage Wrist is far and away better than the politicized version of what it has become.

I first got into them around 2005 and they were the band I was looking forward to the most when I went to Taste of Chaos along with Bullet for My Valentine and Blessthefall and when they played I was into it but a lot of people were booing during the set because let's face it, people going to see Atreyu are not going to get Idiot Pilot.

I definitely remember when wolves dropped. It doesn't matter what my experience was but this fantastic band got snuffed out before they had a chance.

This guys are so special for a very long time for me since I was 16-17, and fun story that I’m living far away from everything and for real I was trying to find another band in internet and how lucky I was to got To buy a Gun⚡️

Their albums are still front-to-back listens today. Wolves was ahead of it's time. I once drove for hours to a tour stop they were on that was the middle spot between totally garbage "metal" bands. I sharpied a t shirt with "IDIOT PILOT - The only reason I'm here", and Daniel was skateboarding through the crowd between bands and sae me. He took my friend and I to meet Michael and they were both so cool. I felt bad that they were stuck on a tour amongst bands whose fans were so diametrically opposed to the kind of stuff they played. Total butt-rock, monster energy, chuds.. it was a pity. But at least two of us were shouting every word and having blast.

Back in 2006 I went to my first local show to see The Last Romance in Marysville, WA As they were setting up they were playing Loosing Color and as shy as I was I had to go up close to the stage to ask who was playing on the speakers.. hooked ever since.

Stumbled upon this interview for the first time, I spent a lot of time with Danny in the audition days because i used to travel all over to see them. Danny is such a good guy and his passion for music shows. I wish him best of luck with his new endeavor, im not a huge country person but i'll definitely support it because Danny deserves it.

Dude. Thank you so much for this interview. I feel as if I was one of their biggest fans. There's literally not a bad Audition song. I spent years and years trying to get ahold of someone from the band just to get some kind of answers about them. Practically begging for a new Audition record. They were just such a big part of my life at the time. Here I was begging for a new album and they weren't even fully emotionally into some of the greatest music that my ears have ever heard. Part of me was hoping he would say "Yeah the band is back together. We're working on something new." My heart was crushed when that wasn't the answer. But I look forward to Danny's solo album. Hopefully he's able to finish the project and release it. Again, thank you for this interview!

Idiot Pilot was opening at the first concert I ever went to. Taste of Chaos... I've been hooked ever since. They blended my love for electronic ethereal music, and just belting out lyrics. Just daniel and michael on stage, along with their little macbook on a stool. Also I think there was a drum set with a cardboard cutout of Han Solo behind it.

Hey man I just got to say this is an incredible podcast. The knowledge you have on the artists that you can pull from is incredible. The way you take the backseat and let the talent do the talking/answering is incredible and rare in this day and age. This is truly automatically one of the best podcasts out there. Keep doing it please, please please!
