I love the longstanding showbiz tradition of fully dressed men dancing with ladies in skimpy garments! Carol Lawrence looks fantastic!

This is one of his better singing performances - stays on pitch, doesn’t wobble as on other occasions. Thank you for all your work collating these fascinating clips.❤

He wasn’t raised in it music hall in the way that Chaplin or Stan Laurel was. Started very late (mid teens) but his presence and charisma made up for limited experience. Throughout his career careful to maximise what he had but not overstretch - his singing, for example, was serviceable but limited. Seemed most comfortable speak-singing in the manner of Rex Harrison in My Fair Lady.

My favorite of his bit parts was Steve in "But Can She Type?", an episode of the 80's version of The Twilight Zone. He had the beard in that one and was very hot, if incredibly smarmy.

It’s crazy how different he looked here versus Star Trek even though he was still young guy when he started Star Trek. He also looks very average height here even though it always looks huge in any other footage that I see of him.

I don't know what it is about that beard but as soon as Jonathan Frakes grew it, he got 1000 times hotter. 🤪

This was back when an actor had to work his/her way into TV and movies by doing bit parts. We laugh about this now but look what happened to Jonathan Frakes: He became a HUGE star by eventually landing Commander Riker on "TNG." It's not like now, where social media influencers and reality TV "stars" move into acting with little to no training or experience. As long as they're young and look good, no one cares.

Very strange to read some comments irrelevant in the context of the video we watched. How disgusting n shocking that even learned men I find falling prey to their own obsession. In short Dada Muni need no certificate from any body. Amit ji is well aware that he is so small to certify. So he only spoke Dada Muni's persona rather than how big n great actor Dada Muni was.

I think it's a Patter Song which means the artist sing-songs the lyrics. It's similar to reciting a poem set to music.

Cary Grant also sang in Sylvia Scarlet (by the seaside), none but the lonely heart, and plays piano, the awful truth , and plays piano, this is the night, bringing up baby, the Howard’s of Virginia, monkey business, people will talk ( at the end while conducting the orchestra). Can you add these ?
