You see, this is where oftentimes the split happens. It often happens that the person in my position takes offense and makes a snippy remark to the person in your position, and then it becomes more about badgering the other person into submission or silence rather than working through any issues. I want to fix that. I want to work on that and improve the way I interact with people who dislike me. I'd love to do it back and forth with you on any one particular issue. Just keeping to that one issue and talking about it until there's some form of a consensus or point when we can walk away with an accurate understanding of each other and still be able to pass each other without throwing punches. I think that's what our country needs and I want to try to help shape that here even if I haven't done great at it in the past
@deeeyewhy5949Ай бұрын
@ part 1- this is too complex to break down into one issue at a time. The issue is that trump is a blatant fascist, and fascism is a complex form of governance. racism is a prevalent trait of fascism. Mainly the demonization of marginalized social groups. There are many models of what describes fascism and up until the 1950’s you would see in any thesaurus a synonym of fascism is corporatism. But the most accurate model in my opinion are the 14 traits of fascism which include; Powerful displays of nationalism Disdain for human rights Identifying enemies / scapegoats as a unifying cause Extreme militarism Blatant sexism Obsession with national security Religion and government intertwined Corporate power protected Labor power suppressed/ attacked Obsession with crime and punishment Cronyism corruption and loyalist members of the leading regime. Disdain towards intellectuals and artists Censuring and attacking any critical media outlets Police militarized against the working class If you need me to point out how trump exemplifies all of these traits to an extreme I would be happy to but it’s pretty obvious so long as you’re paying attention. Conservatism has done nothing good for our country. It’s conservatives that ended the gold standard, then sent all well paying us jobs to the third world so corporations could reduce costs on labor by 95%+ which transformed the American working class to a low wage service industry of mostly fast food and retail workers then Reagan re legalized stock Buybacks after FDR made them illegal for causing the Great Depression. For 170 years the price of gold which has always been considered an inflation proof asset by those who understand economics was stable and only fluctuated once about 80% from $19 to $35 but since these policies were enacted by Nixon and Reagan and then doubled down by conservatives and Neo liberals(which are just right leaning centrists pretending to be leftists) the price of gold has ballooned from $35 to $2750 today. So that’s a loss of value of over 7800%. The reality is both sides are fascist with militarized policing and the ultimate power of those doing the actual ruling residing within the hands of Wall Street military and prison industry profiteers. But trump is far more fascist than the democrats who were the other choice. Fascism has always been a right wing ideology by definition and the whole argument that leftism is fascist is ridiculous straw man grandstanding. The truth is that in any country with higher education standards than ours (because Nixon also killed our public school systems, cut out shop class, home ec, art, music every extra curricular that wasn’t sports because that’s useful for the conditioning of soldiers who don’t ask questions and do what they are told) the US Democratic Party is considered a right wing party. There is no true leftist party in the us and any time a true leftist candidate challenges the democratic power structure they are maligned in the same way the right maligns the democrats. But inflation since trump left office has been nothing but a small blip compared to the inflation of the last 53 years caused and exacerbated by trickle down Reaganism policies. In the 1950’s one working adult could support a family of four on minimum wage with enough left over to send their kids to college have a retirement and go on a modest family vacation once a year. But now it would take two adults working 80 hours a week with overtime at $20 an hour to come close. In 1955 minimum wage earned 60 ounces of gold a year, that would be $162,000 today, and in 1968 minimum wage was raised an 8th time to $1.60/hr since the inception of minimum wage in 1938 via the fair labor standards act which was 95 ounces of gold anually which would be $262,000 today. The right wing fascists who are the Wall Street war profiteers calling the shots the last 60 years intentionally devalued the US dollar to eradicate the progress Made by the pro labor and civil rights movements of the 40’s 50’s and 60’s and they adequately adjusted their pay to compensate. In the 50’s and 60’s the average executive pay was 30-60 times the median worker salary but today it is now 1000-5000 times that same metric. But Wall Street gives us inflation statistics based on consumer price index which are skewed to their advantage because if people knew the truth of how much wealth had been stolen from the working class they would riot in the streets and aim to overthrow both parties in the us and destroy Wall Street for their un-American subversion of our government. Millennials are now entering our 40’s and we have a combined 6.5% of the wealth in America but contrasted to the same point in the baby boomers lives they had over 26% of the wealth in the us. Consumer price index is an insufficient metric for inflation because it does not account for the devaluation of currency due to the increase in circulating currency supply. Something which the price of gold does perfectly. If you look at a timeline of how long it took the USA to print its first trillion dollars and how many trillions we are printing a year now you would see that this matches up perfectly to the increase in value of gold or the subsequent decrease in value of the US dollar. What went wrong? Well in the 1930’s Prescott bush and many of his Wall Street legacy family friends got together to plot a coup to overthrow the FDR administration and install a fascist government controlled by Wall Street where the economic giants and the military would be intertwined and they modeled this vision on the third Reich because Wall Street was very sympathetic and supportive towards Hitler, we didn’t even enter the Second World War till it was obvious Germany would lose so we could grab as much of their scientists and whatever military secrets we could. Anyway prescot bush, the fords duponts rockefellers and other Wall Street fascist corporatists propositioned one of the most decorated generals in us history, smedly butler to lead this coup and he played along with them but then went straight to the house unamerican activities committee to inform on them and although they deemed his testimony entirely credible they did nothing to punish those who sought to destroy our country. That is most likely because they were given large checks to pretend it didn’t happen
@deeeyewhy5949Ай бұрын
@ part 2. Fast forward to now and the architect of this coup’s son and grandson were both sitting presidents and it is now obvious to anyone paying attention that no sitting president in the last 60 or so years since after jfk was murdered, has been able to so much as fart without the express permission of extremely wealthy powerful military and prison industry profiteers. ( how many presidents have attempted to discover the truth in UFO’s and even campaigned on promising to tell the us people the truth? Carter, Clinton, Obama and others have all said this. Clinton even said that he was embarrassed to say that he was stonewalled and if a shadow group exists holding these secrets they eluded him and prevented him from gaining access, so if that’s the case that the commander in cheif doesn’t even have the power to read certain military / sociological secrets than what real power does the president actually have in the white house besides being a puppet and figurehead who gets to brag about whatever little power he may be imbued with. It’s obvious Wall Street is calling the shots. The commit mass fraud in 2008 with the MBS bond scandal and none were held accountable. At the highest levels of Wall Street they are all intertwined with every large military and prison industry contractor and are making the real decisions about how much of our taxes are being spent and where we are deploying us and allied troops to fight whatever wars they have convinced us are necessary to fight now. And these Wars are no longer fought for any reason other than the maintaining of western capitalist supremacy through trade route and resource control and manipulation. This is the reality of where we are today. America is cooked it would still have been cooked with Harris but now we’ve just had the oven cooking us thrown into the broiler mode. Fascism is not good for anyone except the ultra rich. Those who do no real work but just sit and collect passive income on the backs of those doing the work. And now more than ever we are paid peanuts. Since 1971 when Nixon ended the gold standard minimum wage has lost between 93-84% of its value depending where you live. This is the America we live in and trump isn’t going to do a god damned thing to make anything better for anyone but his rich buddies Trump’s tax codes raised taxes for working class people in my state alone income tax and property taxes went up as a result of his awful tax policies. He is not intelligent he is just a buffoon who lies and does everything. He can to sound like a tough big man when the reality is he is a very small person and a bully. But you guys seem to praise bullies and people who display this aggressive aggrandizing masculinity at all costs. Are these really the values we want to teach our children? I don’t want to sound like every other dem saying orange man bad but as someone who’s been with many women and respects women I think saying that you can do whatever you want and just grab a woman by the genitals when you want to us despicable. The man has think skin and even that White House medical report that said he was in amazing health was complete bullshit, the guy eats McDonald’s like 12 times a week. I don’t know how anyone can say with a straight face that Donald trump is going to make America great agauns when the only time this country was every really great was during the FDR administration when leftist policies were enacted that actually benefited the working class and led tot he thriving civil and labor rights movement that has all but been eradicated today as a result of what I’ve described above

Here's what I think. Short version: there's too much neglect and bad decisions making in the industry Long version: Hollywood is dying because they companies that make movies and TV shows aren't really listening to their fans, the number of hated shows that have been continued and good ones that have been cancelled or lost funding only for it to go to the shows and movies that are getting a negative reseption I don't know if they think that the movies are beyond their time or if it's some sort of strategy or sabotage but it's not working They're either not getting good writers, or diverting from the source material too much in order for it to fit their "artistic image" or not paying them enough, or using tearable CGI, or promoting a liberal or conservative message, there's nothing wrong with trying to inspire change but i can think of at least 3 reasons why it's not a good idea right now 1: in a chaotic world that hard to live in where people are slowly starting to believe this is becoming the end of the world, the last thing you want to do is take the thing that is used for entertainment and to distract the people from the problems and difficulty of life and use it to promote a controversial messageb(especially in a bad way) that reminds them of their problems unless that's the point of the movie 2: when you focus too much on getting the message across and stop focusing on making the story actually good it can become a problem, especially promoting a controversial message, they can become even less receptive to the message (little phycology fact for you, people are less receptive, less forgiving, and less likely to give the benefit of the doubt to things and people they don't like, that's one of the reasons why it's so important to leave a good first impression) 3: character development can be negatively effected just as story can if poorly executed, and intrical part of making a good story is good character development that makes sense, if there's no character development or it doesn't make sense it can hurt the story (unless the development or lack there of is ment to not make sense) if we get too caught up in trying to explain our point or moving on to the next point we can end up leaving our characters unlikable or likable but they'll have made no progress as a person.

Also, your comparison with CNN, etc. does not hold if CNN paid what the settlement demanded. Fox News paid Dominion voting some $750+ million out of court even before the case began coz they probably would have been found liable for more than a billion if it went to court. The point being, for defamation, one does need to prove the person is doing willingly with an agenda. TYT covers both left and right. Justice would be suing him for the money that he made and the platform he built as a result of Sandy Hook. You could make the argument that his primary claim to fame is people coming after him for Sandy Hook, but that's a public response rather than the organic growth they were claiming in court that he made because of Sandy Hook. It would be like if you or me said something horrible and It was published to TikTok. The video itself does not get a lot of views and your subscriber count doesn't grow, but a larger creator made a response condemning you for it that gets hundreds of thousands of views. (Happened to me, was doing a theology response, but said something dumb in the middle of it, got corrected on that small point, and everything I was most likely right about got ignored). For Alex Jones, his followers know that he was wrong about Sandy Hook and those who've watched the shows for years can pull clips of when he's either apologized or said he was wrong years before the trial. The whole trial is clouded with misinformation or direct lies and it's hard for the average person to get their hands on the truth because the judge would not admit the most crucial proofs the defense brought. Even though that proof directly disproves the specific claim made by the prosecution. Our just a system has a lot of corruption right now and it's going to take a while to weed through it.

Why does your Everyday Democrat pronounce Kamala wrong, but your Everyday Republican gets it right? Can you tell me the difference between Trump's economic plan and Biden's?
@OneOuttaOne2 ай бұрын
Sure. First, Trump pushing for America to be energy independent is probably the biggest difference. Setting up the keystone XL pipeline was going to make us a net exporter. Biden shut that down in his first year and I think in his first month. Less than a year later he was begging for gas from Opec+ to make up for the oil shortage that we are still ignoring and continuing to fiercely regulate US oil (Reuters article from August 11th 2021 as source). When oil and gas prices go up, companies have to spend more on transportation. When that happens profit margins and ability to grow are hindered which hurts small companies more than global mega corporations. So once America is energy independent, we spend less importing oil and other resources and we can now use that money instead to fund exporting energy, which brings more income and puts less of the financial burden on the backs of the American people. Then we add in the tariffs. Companies that have spent years more interested in building factories and jobs globally rather than nationally will struggle while companies that focused building factories and jobs in the States for Americans will not be affected. (PS, despite all of the criticisms of tariffs, Biden and Harris kept many of the tariffs Trump put in place) Top that off with not taxing tips or overtime, the American worker Now has more money in their own pockets than ever before. And not taxing tips or overtime doesn't benefit the multi-billionaires, it benefits the everyday American. That's a super short synopsis.
@fikkaification2 ай бұрын
@@OneOuttaOne Fact checking Keystone XL pipeline: - the oil would be sent chiefly overseas-not to gasoline pumps in the United States - pervasive threats to climate, ecosystems, drinking water sources, and public health - tar sands oil isn’t your average crude - comes with steep environmental and economic costs - Oil and gas companies are exporting 8.4 million barrels of crude oil and refined fuels every single day - For history, it was already shut down before but Trump (thanks to oil lobbyist donors) revived it. Biden simply shut it back coz the cons are greater.
@PolIdeas-20242 ай бұрын
@@OneOuttaOne That isn't short, but we'll manage. I would consider this mostly energy policy than economic. Obviously, they are related, but Trump oversells the effect energy policy has on economy. The claim of reducing energy costs by 1/2 is BS. His energy policy generally ignores the fact that the US is current generating more energy than ever before. (www.eia.gov/energyexplained/us-energy-facts/) We still import because of a lack of pipelines (mostly between Texas and the west coast) and refineries needing different types of oil than are available near them. We could cut the cost of energy by deregulation and other corner cutting, some of which is warranted. But let's do it safely. You just said Biden kept Trump's tariffs, so how are the plans different? You mean the new proposals to tariff everything and even more on imports from China? Firstly, I can't even find Trump's actual plan (my snide point in asking for Trump's plans because he doesn't actually spell them out in detail) for doing this although lots of organizations have stated it as his plan. He just says things like "maybe more" and "some countries". Tariffs are a perfectly fine tool to use when protecting American industries. Biden just did that recently on Chinese electric vehicles. Tariffs on all imports would seemingly include things that aren't even available in the US. That is just a national sales tax by another name. I'll give you the tips and overtime ones, even though they are very new and at least the tips one has been adopted by Harris as well.
@OneOuttaOne2 ай бұрын
Highly disagree that he hasn't spelled out his policies very well. I just went to the official Trump website and downloaded the Agenda 47 document. It's not as long as a congress document, so it's manageable. For pipelines, I remember the Trump presidency. I remember how much he was trying to get more drilling, fracking, and new pipelines up, and how Democrat politicians opposed it every single chance they had. It's funny to me how Democrat politicians (And please note I am vehemently separating politicians from Democrat voters who I usually get along well with) Will complain about something a Republican does until they see it works or they see it's popular. They flip-floped on the wall after blocking it during Trump's presidency. They called Trump xenophobic for blocking travel to China at the beginning of the pandemic, then announced they were extending the travel ban once they got the White House. Harris had no plan of touching the tax on tips policy and the mass media harshly criticized him for it until they saw how popular it was with voters, And then she and the media flipped on it. I've been keeping a list of yearly major events and have made 2 live streams regarding those lists (with sources). I encourage you to at least look at those sources since they will show how crazy this campaign has been

Off the cuff: Kamala: opportunity economy, bring back tax breaks for lower-middle income families, first time homebuyer credit, fight against price gouging, fight against assett investing Trump: 10-20% tariffs / sales tax on us, concepts of a plan, might not tax tips on servers, doesn't like overtime pay
@OneOuttaOne2 ай бұрын
I appreciate you clarifying it's off the cuff. I think I can help clear up some of it. Step one like Trump said is drilling. The reason that's such a big deal is because when transportation expenses go down, all companies then have more money to be able to pay employees and reduce company debt (which also gives more capital to increase salaries). Taxing on tips was Trump's plan first and it's not the only plan that Harris has stolen from the Trump Vance campaign. Reducing government red tape on businesses will also make it easier for small businesses to grow. So now let's combine that with the tariffs. If American businesses are now more able to make things efficiently in the states while still making a profit, oversees imports become less important to us. This makes it more beneficial for companies to build factories in the states instead of buying from China like we always have. The job I was working right before I got married is a result of the tariffs (many of which Biden Harris kept). It was a flooring company making waterproofed vinyl flooring America previously only imported from China. Once the tariffs came in, it was better for the company to make the flooring in the States than buy from China. Now several companies are creating the same product in the States instead of buying from China. Yes there are a lot of moving pieces to it, but I think it's much more beneficial than many people realize.

@@OneOuttaOne I could say a lot but I'll just pick a rather amusing point. We know Harris joined in late after Biden dropped out. So as she was drafting her own policy plan and came across something good, like no tax on tips, would you accuse her of stealing or complimenting her for compiling good policies ? I see that's a great sign in a leader who in not obtuse and willing to do what's best for Americans. I mean we didn't fault Trump for his 40+ promises he broke while he was President in 2016-2020. PS: Seems like you also never heard of Shaw Floors, Mannington (and others) waterproofed vinyl flooring which have been made in USA for over 50 years.
@OneOuttaOne2 ай бұрын
@fikkaification I actually worked at Mannington And I have a family member fairly high up in the company, and no, it was the rigid core product. We were the second company to bring its manufacturing to the States. We were actually supposed to keep somewhat quiet about it so that Shaw wouldn't catch wind and beat us to the market. Edit: When I was hired, I was one of their first extruder operators, then moved up to be their third quality inspector. It's probably me getting a little too butthurt, but it's kind of aggravating being dismissed especially when you named the company I worked for

How about tackling greed-inflation ? How about price-gouging ? How about fixing the supply chain issues that Trump caused since covid ? How about passing bills like Infra bill, IRA which actually did bring inflation from 9% to the current 2.5% till Dems had the House. You do know the Republicans control the House and kill border bill and other things that would otherwise help the Americans. Dems are bad in getting the message out over the Republican noise, I give you that.
@OneOuttaOne2 ай бұрын
First things first when talking about inflation now Is that they've played fast and loose with including or excluding food and energy in the inflation numbers. Of course as we know, food and energy and housing are the three things the average American is feeling the most when it comes to inflation, so when people brag about the Biden Harris inflation numbers, They are often ignoring these crucially important areas hurting Americans daily. As for the border bill, my previous video addresses this. But I'll go a step further. You know it was the Democrats who caused the government shutdown and the ending of a border bill during Trump's time, right? The intention was to build the border wall (which compared to how much we are sending to Ukraine Israel Iran and Gaza together was a small amount). Then when popular opinion flipped to wanting a wall, Biden announced the so-called border bill. But before it could be passed, Democrats added in $70 billion to Ukraine and several more billion spread out amongst other foreign countries, and the 20 billion set aside for the border wasn't going to build anything of the wall. That's the big reason I have such a huge problem with believing anything a Democrat politician says. They act like they agree with us and that they are serving in the best interest of the people, then load up these bills with either unnecessary things for things not related to the purpose of the bill. No I've got words for the backstabbing Republican politicians too, but I'll save those for another time.
@OneOuttaOne2 ай бұрын
As for price gouging, got one question. Why is it they waited until Biden was in office to start price gouging? Follow up question if you're interested, do you know what the percentage is of price gouging?
@fikkaification2 ай бұрын
@@OneOuttaOne Where does it say its excluding the food and energy numbers ? I buy 5dz eggs under $13, I buy gas at $2.75. I'm paying almost the same as I was before. Yes, I agree there is still price-gouging on other commodities that needs addressing, Rent/housing needs fixing that Trump being a real-estate guy has no policy, Harris has some good policies like making corporates give up on their gobbled up share. $25k for first time buyers so they can compete with "investor" buyers, etc. US has tackled inflation much better than the rest of the western world inflation thanks to Biden policies. Trump didn't have a border bill. He had a border wall that Americans ended up paying for unlike what he promised. So its not the same comparison. The current border bill was drafted by Republicans, supported by Dems and wanted by border agents because it helped with resources - that's the bill that fixes problems which Trump killed. That $70 billion was for US (military related manufacturing but for US jobs), NOT Ukraine. Some of it was for US presence in Europe but for America's benefit to counter China and other threats in Europe. You just stated some lies yourself or maybe misinformation (always read the bill and use source material not youtube or other 3rd party) so should we believe you ? I will give you the benefit of doubt. I agree with you that bills should be stand alone and each one for its designated purpose, however, the reality of bi-partisan has faded since Obama took office and Republicans blocked many good initiatives and now we need to settle on compromises. But I would still take a 50% fix than nothing and keep working till we get it where it needs to be. An example is Obamacare, while its not perfect, its leagues better than what concepts Trump has who tried killing it 60 times if not for John McCain (RIP).
@fikkaification2 ай бұрын
@@OneOuttaOne TYT has been doing it's reporting on price-gouging for some years now, you can look it up which is better than what I can explain. I'll just ask you to have an open mind. I can tell if you look at SPY (index fund), it was $230 in early 2020, it is now at $570, roughly 250%. Corporate has been making ginormous profits while crying inflation to charge inflated prices. Yes, there were initially supply chain issue that were basically due to covid mismanagement by Trump including 200,000 loss of lives but after that was over come corporates have just been doing greed inflation. We had a Novo Nordisk senate hearing very recently for weight loss drugs pricing - look it up why Americans are paying so much more compared to rest of the world.
