What's the pedal you using ?

I remember as a teenager in the early eighties coming upon a radio interview about this album and these guys would talk a little and cut to the music, and I was thinking "wow, Springsteen has come out with something really cool", and as it went on I'm hearing a British accent and it's Mark Knopfler and in the background "Private Investigations" was playing, blowing my mind...finally figured out it was a band called Dire Straits! Bought this album (and Soundtrack to Cat People by Giorgio Moroder! also wonderful!) out of a bargain bin at a record store. These albums (and also ECM was a biggie) were forming my life's soundtrack in my early teens...40 plus years ago...love this song, album and group...thank you.
