One quick point of clarification in the closed Sicilian variation of this Sicilian Stonewall: after 1. e4 c5 2. Nc3 e5 3. Nf3 d6 4. Bc4, the line I would play to prevent Ng5 in that exact position isn’t actually …f6, but rather …Be6! Re: open Sicilian lines, I hadn’t seen the 2…Qa5 lines before: very rare and fun-looking opening which, parental, is called the “Mongoose” variation!

Very nice. I've seen some of these separately but having one source for them is very useful.

Ever since I learned to play chess (at the late age of 13) I was fascinated by the combinative style of the late Alekhine. Now thanks to your videos on gambits, I'm appreciative of what you presented on the O' Sullivan Gambit, and how you can transpose into it when White opens with 1. d4. I'd very much appreciate your presenting ideas in the Polish Opening,, and introducing gambit ideas for White in it (because my ancestry is part Polish?!).

No 1.e4 c5 2.c3 d5 3.Nf3 dxe4 4.Ng5 Nf6 5.d3 exd3 6.Bxd3 Nc6 evt. 7...Bg4 (the key move to refute all versions of the Tennyson Gambit) of course.

Not the right video to leave this comment on, but want to maximize the chances of this getting seen: You should investigate a rare opening for black which I’ve called the Sicilian Stonewall. e4 c5, playing for d6 and e5, and occasionally adding in f6. It’s incredibly interesting and as far as I can tell, completely unexplored!
@stewy00135 күн бұрын
Depending on move order, could also be called the Philidor Stonewall. If white plays passively, I’ve found that this stonewall is really easy to setup and play!
