what feeds and speeds on your CNC for the epoxy?

Prioritizing Efficiency: Feed Rate: 60-80 inches per minute (IPM) is a good starting point for a 1cm epoxy cut aiming for efficiency. This allows for a faster cutting speed compared to a very low feed rate. Speed (RPM): 14,000-18,000 RPM can be efficient for 1cm epoxy. Higher RPMs can help clear chips more effectively. Balancing with Quality: Depth of Cut (DOC): For a 1cm epoxy cut, using a shallow DOC of around 0.03-0.05 inches (0.75-1.25mm) per pass with multiple passes is recommended. This reduces chipping and heat generation, leading to a cleaner cut. End Mill: A sharp, single-flute end mill is a good choice for this scenario. It creates larger chips that evacuate well and reduces heat compared to multi-flute bits.

this laser head is with anti-collision build in. Not all heads are with this function. You could require that you wanna head with anti-collision.

How about cutting leather with such a machine.... normally a single layer at a time out of a leather side with some strips as narrow as 1/4"... mostly straight cuts in 4-8 ounce leather

Here are some tips for cutting 0.040" ceramic with a waterjet cutting machine: Abrasive Selection: Use a high-quality abrasive like garnet or corundum (aluminum oxide). Consider the hardness of your ceramic. For very hard ceramics, corundum might be a better choice for faster cutting, but it will also wear down your mixing tube faster. Water Pressure: Reduce the water pressure compared to cutting thicker ceramics. This can help minimize chipping and cracking on the thin material. Experiment to find the optimal pressure for your specific ceramic type and desired cut quality. Cutting Speed: Maintain a moderate cutting speed. Going too slow can lead to thermal damage on the ceramic, while excessively high speeds might cause chipping or uneven cuts.

Let me know what kind of PVC sheet you cut and the max cutting thickness. Some PVC sheets are good with cnc router, some are good wth digital cutter.
