seeing pogo get angry is new, but considering everything bob did, i don't blame him. i had a feeling the soma incident would come back to bite him, someone finally saw his true colors, told the board and they concocted a plan to get rid of him and get mr. dark away from the railway so that he couldn't save him. if mr.dark ever found out the truth about big bob, i'd hope he forgives his uncle and the directors and realize they did the right thing by scrapping that monster.

Honestly, for a first time seeing anything from this channel… damn. This was something else. Truthfully, I’ve also wondered how Railway Men saw Steam Engines as a living creature, as humans. Humans can be good, but they can very often be dark and evil souls. How could a steam engine be that (well, aside from Dudley)? Robert fills in that gap. It is so clear that he is a selfish engine that, even on death’s door, is still not remorseful nor guilty about his actions, about how he affected others. The dark hum present in the background while Robert sits in the scrapyard, the simple yet effective camera movement… You don’t even need a face on the smokebox door, the voice acting is all you need… Bravo my guy! Consider me a fan!

Plus, Im so used to faces being smokeboxes and cab fronts that seeing my characters with proper faces would be wierd now haha!

I have to say, the way Pogo listed each crime, it sounded more like a judge passing sentence onto a convict. He was never going to change, now he has to live in the afterlife with his demons. Once he died, that's it, his demons are now his friends. I had some belief Robert had some remorse, but cretins don't even understand pain.

I'm only going based on speculation and one fact; but from what I could understand, on top of all his other unforgivable actions, Big Bob, or Robert, apparently committed...the "R" word...with that poor engine alone in the sheds. While I am sure everyone is disgusted by what Robert did, from a lore stand point, this only dives deeper on what engines can do one another. Even though they are machines, they apparently have some or even equal actions to what humans can do. Theo & Otto are an example of being the most human an engine can be based on what Pogo described. Meanwhile, Dave & Hannah show how far relationships with engines can go in different means. As for Robert, his spotlight episode shows what evil, twisted, maniacal and unfathomable actions an engine can do that mimics what humans are capable of in the real world. Honestly, this episode has to be my favorite in terms of not only the lore of the Dark Railway & what engines are capable of, but being able to see why everyone didn't like Big Bob and what made him the monster he is. Words can't describe how awesome this series is, and I'm glad to be a fan of it! 10000/10, keep up the amazing work👍
@DDJP2 күн бұрын
@@dlp2372 Wow, thank you for your comment! I do love the lore we have all built over the years, from theories to alternate takes to the simple history the DR has. As for 'that act', I suppose it's different in an engine's perspective. Remember, we are trying to imprint human characteristics onto machines with linited physical capabilities, so unfortunately some suspensiob of disbelief has to be held for our human traits to be represented by the machines. In other words, it makes for a storyline and for character, but I cannot explain the ins and outs of how 'that act' works in 77C. Bob is unfortunately part of that lore, but it goes to show that its not all sunshine and rainbows around the line. He was a monstr for sure. But thankfully for Rick, alpt of this wont affect him at least. Not everyone around him were not to know of Bob's misdeeds, so we can take solace in that. Glad you, and everyone else, is still enjoying the show! Thank you!
