I remember rewatching Scrubs and coming across this episode again when i had received awful news about someone in my family having stage 4 cancer that i was close to. To this day, i cry when i hear this song. And I'm reminded that everything's going to be okay.

Props on the show writers for having Dr. Cox be the first person to speak up and lead everyone else in telling her she’s going to be fine. Throughout the show he’s shown to be an uncaring asshat, even in this episode he spends most of it telling her and everyone else that the singing she’s hearing is because she’s crazy. But the INSTANT he learns it’s a life threatening tumour and she’s starts to panic, he goes fully into supporting her. Just, fucking fantastic.

Funniest thing involving Kelso I have seen in the entire series.

Crazy thing is, when this aired, it wasn't the first time i heard the music. I had seen the movie just mere years before this episode aired. One of the most influential pieces of film i've even seen. Hats off to the person who ended up selecting this piece by Philip Glass for this episode.
