hi. I recently purchased the UCJV330-160 and am using LUS-170 ink. I bought it because it was said that UV ink is resistant to scratches, but my prints are easily scratching. Even gently rubbing with a squeegee causes scratches. What could be the problem?

hola, tengo instalado el fine cut 9 de un plotter de corte 60 cm pero necesito formatear, es posible instalar de nuevo con el mismo numero de serie? uno de los tecnicos que le diron mantenimiento al equipo me dijo que si se puede (hasta 10 veces segun el) pero quisiewra estar mas seguro para no tener que estar pagando otra licencia cuando necesite formatear o vender el plotter, y otra cosa hay o habra alguna actualizacion donde se pueda ver el tiempo real el proceso de corte (como la vista previa antes de cortar pero una vez empezado el proceso como para saber donde y que esta cortando y cuanto falta por cortar . gracias

Mimaki Made the bulk ink system 2 inches too tall, which wasted close to a foot of space when the bulk ink system could have easily been tucked underneath the side of the printer, if it didn't have casters on it this is a terrible afterthought and terrible design and shows little respect for space where most shops have inches to spare between machines. Also, not everyone wants a bulk ink system - these inks expire, so buyer beware that you better be printing A LOT or you'll be throwing this ink away, the printer will not print if the inks have expired. This printer should have been offered with a bulk ink system and without it. Many missed opportunities here to save space, time and money on this machine and mimaki missed the mark on this printer. Customers should also be mindful that the head cleaning wiper system on this machine requires very expensive parts to keep the heads maintained, and will increase the operating cost A LOT over the life of the machine. Mimaki charges way too much for their consumables, sometimes $12 for one piece of foam. It's $60 for literally a toilet paper roll of head cleaning cloth that rolls over the head, absolutely not acceptable. The fact they don't make the system reloadable with just paper and you have to buy all of the gearing and everything together, shows greed beyond greed from this company. UNACCEPTABLE. Look it up, SKU: SPC-0919. This is a company trying to make $60 or more a month from $2 worth of cloth, on top of selling you $12 foam and inks that expire when they say so. BUYER BEWARE THIS MACHINE WILL NICKEL AND DIME YOU AND SO WILL THE COMPANY THAT MADE IT. Please share this with everyone that you talk to, this is unacceptable business practices and I guarantee you your dealer won't tell you these things until you're buying a replacement roll of print head TP.

Buenas tardes. Tengo un Mimaki JV300-160. En las impresiones aparece una linea blanca entre cada una de las pasadas. Pareciera ser un problema de alineacion. En un Mutoh que tengo, esto se arregla desde el panel, haciendo una configuracion virtual de interlineado de avance. En Mimaki existe algo asi o se debe hacer de manera manual mecanicamente? hi, can you create a tutorial that only uses blender for the workflow? How do we ensure the dpi is enough(right now i use extra large images for texture but i can only ball-park it on a 3d model, not sure if there's a clever way)? If i use BSDF with rgb color node as base color(instead of an image texture), how bad would it look when printed? when i bake texture in blender obviously it will be RGB, would it look bad on print(CMYK)? IS it ok to hv multiple materials on one model? Does metalic/alpha/roughness settings on the BSDF node make any difference on the printed model(or what other settings on the node would be taken into effect)? If i have a sticker projected on a semi-transparent wine bottle, the sticker and the bottle will be in different material and the bottle part should be semi-transparent, how does it work in printing with mamika? we are exploring possibility to produce with mamika but there's very little guildence we found on the web that help us know more about it. I hv developed a plugin in blender to streamline all the baking and export process, but i m still stuggling to know what works and what not on mamika priinter.

I hv a few questions though. If I hv multiple shader containing multiple texture images for an object, I do not need to bake all into one shader and leave to export the model as is? does procedual material works? If my model does not use image textures but only shader color slot in BSDF principled shader, would the printer pick that up?

Very good explanation, thank you very much. May I please ask about the 'Around Mimaki Register' entry in the color collection table, can I duplicate it and change the value to print white? I print on a reflective sticker and the red color confuses the sensor. I'd like it to be white around the register marks.

No RGB lights for the ink station? Nice having at-a-glance indicators for low ink and such other than just red/green, works great on all the other smaller printers.
