Hahaha! Hong Kong actors make many more films than Hollywood ones! Perhaps she has never heard of Jackie Chan? He has made over 200 in 56 years! That is even more than what Donnie did. But I am not disparaging Donnie or his career I am just adding a tidbit of info, because I have found it hilarious how amazed this lady presenter was that Donnie made 70 films in 30 years. Most Hong Kong actors do that; only not all of them are well-known in the US.

As an American who has been in love with his guy since the 90's, it bugs me at how underrated he is in America and is only now becoming noticed. The guys been a badass for decades and I hope he finally gets that recognition he deserves from Hollywood.

Just a note for those who wonders why Hollywood is discovering Donnie now, Donnie chose not to be in hollywood. He mentioned in an interview before that he does not like the structure and dynamic of how hollywood action movie works.(The director controls everything including the action scenes). While in HK,if you the action director. The main director hands over the filming of that action scenes to you. Hence that "freedom" of being allowed to take control of how the action scene is being shot in the HK film industry prompted Donnie to film in HK for a long time. Which this can explain which Hollywood action movies are so bad with the fast cuts! And there is a reason why asian action stars always look so badass in their native country but presented so terrible in their hollywood project(examples are Tony Jaa and Iko uwais). John wick changed that but that was because the choreographers were from HK themselves. So..is not hollywood discovered him only now. He was discovered long ago with highlander endgame and shanghai knights being that entry, but he chose to return to HK and become a legend there :) Hence, he was alr a legend before all this star wars fandom!

You're right.. i watched an interview he did a few weeks ago, and this is something he really said is a problem.. is how slow it is, the structure and the lack of creative freedom artist have.. because ( you gotta sell box office.. also.. how they try to 'represent' groups but not in an honest way - aka character not characature). Hk its anything goes.. and its fast.. can finish movies in 2 months and make even more insane action scenes.

Wish he had and think he should of had a bigger role. Could of been the dead vampire that helped the old man get Blade out of the hands of The Father of Vampires(the freakish breed). Would of been better action I think. Especially the sewer scene. He could of been the dude who killed LightHammer and alerted Blade and the other 2.
