I was a sweet fan so really did not like Slade. However I saw them at Donnington and they were the best band of the day ( AC/DC & Whitesnake included) I then saw them at Newcastle City Hall where they recorded a live album. Never seen the City Hall so load the balcony was literally bouncing. It was near Christmas and the encore had Noddy come back on stage deessec as Santa's the place went nuts. Still to this day one of the best gigs ever

There's a great covers band called Status Quotes who play live Quo songs very close to the original recording and they sound amazing yet there is something special about this song done here with the original line up.

The sheer power from these four guy's is seriously awesome. Ricks voice is really struggling here though and Francis might have enjoyed a different guitar for his Solos....or perhaps a different 'Pedal' for the Solos. However, the Frantic Four definitely 'Had It' and Spuds drumming; like wow....Jesus ****, did he whack those skins and watch his Hi Hat. He played (as they ALL did) with passion!!!!

July 2024,still the best badass group, pounding out those humming hypnotic bass line, their guitar riffs to die for. 50 yrs and still sound so fresh and relevant. Those guys are History.

Rick had to work so hard to keep the whole thing moving. Who could keep that up with 14's? Hadn't noticed that they keep the white gear at home and used black Marshalls and a bunch of AC30's (for show I'm sure)

I really recommend to listen again to the Studio Version in Hello. These Songs are so beautifully performed and arranged, it will bring you to tears, considering what happened to this great band! How I would like to hear Rick and Alan with their superband in heaven!!🙏

I can't get enough of that sweet spot at 2:23 when the band explodes from the song structure into the solo and you can hear them all going hell for leather. The mighty Quo at their most breathtaking. This guitar solo alone puts Rossi up there with the greatest. Sublime!
