Not far off from my basic bot build. Though I run the crossbow instead of the SMGs. Though the staggering one was good to use for a while when it came to rocket and heavy devastators. Though I normally run the stun grenade to present hulks as easy targets. Usually run sniper, 4 rocket launcher, or HMG depending on what the team has. I also sometimes run the bonesnapper armor so I can heal, though on colder planets I'll often run the kodiak armor for explosion resistance and taking less damage since I go from medium to heavy armor. I usually bring the rail strike and laser, but if enough of the team has those I just pick something we need. Whether eagle airstrike, orbital ems, or the bubble shield. Usually someone else has the bubble though so... The one moment I've had with the shield where I wish I had been recording was when I blocked a laser turret's shot with my shield. It cost me the shield, but the reaction time I had was split second perfect as I blocked the shot and got knocked back toward cover. Thankfully I distracted it enough the team could line up a shot on the opposite side.

Missions will always be tough. I had teammates abandon me and another random player. We got down to timed respawns, but we beat the mission. Where there is a will, there is a way. Sometimes holding your ground isn’t the game plan and you need to setup elsewhere. I only came across players that burned lives once. They killed teammates when no enemies were around, so using my drop pod boosters when they called me in I went max distance and headed for the objective. Had to use my grenade launcher to trip them up when they caught up. They eventually killed me and the other guy before extract arrived so only them and their friend could extract. Just blocked them and left so I’d never have to deal with them again. Most fun time I had was when I joined a group and the host was like, “guys, I’m going for the achievement where u only use your secondaries.” He was shocked when I said I needed that too and was all for it. Mainly because I was over lvl 100. But we all stuck to it and completed the mission with all different secondaries and multiple guard dogs. Sure I don’t use every stratagem; but also I don’t use every armor, primary, or secondary. I simply have my picks for bugs and bots to fill roles the team needs coverage for. Don’t have someone for bug holes and groups of bugs? Grenade launcher and guard dog come along. Don’t have coverage for chargers or titans? Pick one of the heavier weapons and maybe an extra orbital or eagle. Heck I’ve had to listen to a guy b*%#% about me bringing mines to the base defense mission, yet out of the two front gates the one I had my mines in front of was the only one not breached. And both of them were standing guard at the other door while I had to defend alone. I might not do many missions above 7, but when I’m dragged along on them I play to the best of my skills. Whether I’m assisting the main objective or running around collecting super credits and samples alone. I know some in the community have come up with names for what kind of faction they are with. I’m a survivalist or an adapter. I can assist the team or go do my own thing. It is never for myself though as I’m maxed on samples and what not when I can’t donate to the station. So if we don’t need them then I’ll focus more on the main objective.

I’m a little curious if the build might change some given updates since the video was originally made. There have been more weapons added, and while the squirt gun of a pocket sized flame thrower hasn’t been good to me, the primary weapon slot one has treated me nicely against the bugs.

Very similar to how I play, but to step away from the flavour of the build and go more practical, supply bkpk only on missions with defendable points, i prefer jet pk for mobility and clutch heals on teammates in thick of it, swap primary to crossbow, gives you explosive add clear and objective destruction, for stats, run gatling barrage for low cooldown and versatility, and EAT for heavys, gas grenades also provide great cc for the arc thrower to rip through, support is by far my fave playstyle and i hope to see more people adopting more team focused plays :P kzbin.info/www/bejne/f2fTiquQqqaJgck some clips of build in action XD Happy Hunting

Personally, I prefer a Jump Pack for myself to be able to get to people to stim faster, closer, and more reliably, as well as to grant myself a means to catch up to someone I'm actively speed-boosting with the stim pistol, besides using my own stims. I prefer instead to give out Commandos and EAT-17's (simultaneously) like they're going out of style, which they kind of are in the face of the recoilless rifle.

The medic armor also increases stim duration to your teammates, allowing you to fullheal them with one stim, if they're above ~15% health. Stims also stack, don't be afraid to shoot two or three. Consider taking the jump pack with you instead. It can get you out of trouble, take better positions, and close the gap with teammates who need your help. For bugs: Halt, the stun is amazing and it gives your heavy a lot of breathing room. If you take it, consider using a different grenade. Quasar Cannon, can deal with a bile titan without using a backpack and destroy nests For bots: Scorcher, automatic is good for hoard clear. Railgun, essentially a must pick for bots in general.

My friend runs her own Medic Build, using EATs, Commandos and an AR Guard Dog to protect herself and keep stuff like Gunships away. And as someone who has the stupid bravery to run a Ballistic Shield on difficulty 10 Automatons, it is such a fun time. She keeps us all going while our HMG guy takes out Devastators, our Recoilless guy takes out Hulks, and I deal with lighter bots and Scout Striders, while soaking up tons of lasers. And something too big comes your way? 500 kg. An objective too tough like Command Bunkers? Orbital Laser. A Fortress is ahead and you need to make it safer? Barrages. (I also think that the Stim Pistol should have close range aimbot on teammates like the one from Battlefield 2042 so you don’t miss as much)

I would probably go with: Booster: Experimental Infusion Armor: Any Med-Kit Armor Passive Primary: SG-20 Halt - It's stun ammo is incredible at locking down most enemies, and the med pen is not terrible either. I recommend binding both the "Open Weapon Wheel" and "Weapon Wheel Right Side" to the same "Press [insert button]" for quick change between the two ammo types. You are more of a Ghost/Medic hybrid with this. Secondary: P-11 Stim Pistol - Gets the effects of both your Experimental Infusion Booster and Med-Kit Armor Passive on anyone you shoot with this pistol. Grenade: Thermites (to deal with all the heavies and structures) Stratagems: 1. B-1 Supply Pack 2. MLS-4X Commando (to deal with a variety of threats and to close bug holes) 3. A/MG-43 Machine Gun Sentry 4. A/MLS-4X Rocket Sentry This can probably work against both Bots and Bugs with equal efficiency.

I love how the Stim Pistol gets both the Med-Kit Armor Passive AND the Experimental Infusion Booster buffs if you have both. I run around in my CM-21 Trench Paramedic or eradicate with the CM-17 Butcher and it is so nice to be able to stim people from range and give them +2s more of enhanced speed and damage reduction alongside the healing.

@@thestickybandits7320 Ok, so I tried this last night and man I was disappointed lol. The concept of the build is fantastic! But that Stim Pistol....Ugggghhhh, that was my first time trying it last night and that was very underwhelming. There are so many drawbacks to it. It's clunky to hit running targets like you mentioned, you can't destroy bug holes since you sacrifice the Grenade Pistol, you waste so much ammo when trying to inject your teammates while they are running around, and it is absolutely maddening trying to use while in the middle of an Acid Storm. Everything else you mentioned though? Very fun support build around teamplay! The EMS Mortar pairs awesome with the Arc Thrower to slow down incoming bugs from bug breaches or Large Nests (Raise The Flag missions are always a blast with that active). The Supply Pack kept my Stun Grenades topped off where I could start any battle I want against mobs with basically an opportunity attack since they are disoriented. I had a lot of unintentional team kills with the Machine Gun Sentry, so I swapped it for the Orbital Railcannon and used that to protect whichever player I would follow from Bile Titans. Thanks again for making this video, it definitely was a fun playstyle to try out, even more so with the Arc Blitzer instead of the Pummeler. I hope we can get a few more options for healing teammates instead of just the Stim Pistol in the near future. It would be perfect if we could get a weapon like the Laser Cannon that healed teammates instead of basically a Syringe Gun.

I've played a lot of Medic builds and here's some non-starcraft themed ideas for those who care. I usually run it against bots as bugs tend to be better dealt with through aggression rather than defense. Smoke Grenades- Great for bots, it allows you cover your escape, make your shield relay bunker extra safe, and doesn't hurt your teammates to throw on their location. Ballistic Shield- Yes the ballistic not the energy backpack. This allows you to tank shots from the back or use it with a one handed primary such as the crossbow or SMG's, but most importantly lets you shot teammates with the stim pistol a lot more safely. Your supply backpack essentially becomes a secondary resupply which allows a full team of 4 to split off into 2 groups while not fighting between resupplies. If you have good communication with a fellow diver you can essentially sustain them in front of horde, or rotate between one person crouching and one person standing for mobile cover. This paired with a heavy medic armor makes you more of a frontlining support. HALT Shotgun- The wide spread on the stun rounds help with devastators and medium armored bugs, and you most likely won't be firing tons of rounds anyways since that's the teammate you are supporting's responsibility so the ammo usage isn't a big problem. Commando- This expendable has a distinct advantage against the bots and that's due to the guided nature of the weapon. EATS and the Quasar are a good substitute (RR if you use the Supply Pack as a secondary Resupply), but gunships are one of the most difficult enemies to deal with the commando makes it super easy to take them down since you can direct the projectile after firing and it only needs one hit. Plus the Commando has a relatively short cooldown which makes it very shareable, has 4 shots so you can deal with multiple Hulks, Striders, Devastators, Tanks, Hiveguards, Stalkers, etc. All in all great video! I love to see people advocating for medic builds in this game.

Following a heavy is called a "Pocket Medic" (at least in Planetside 2) or "Battle Buddy" (if you eat crayons). It is super effective in almost every game with guns. My personal favourite is 20 people healing one heavy so you can out res the dps. Funny as hell.

I'd love a cloaking backpack stratagem, using the cloak attribute the Stalkers use. Have it active while moving around, but C&C style deactivate when firing. And for balance reasons, lets also deactivate it while interacting with a terminal so you cant zero effort an entire T10 operation by yourself. Then add one or two units on both factions with specific functions to sniff you out while you're cloaked and put the detection range of everyone else to extremely small and there we go. Terminids couls get the function built into the Hunters and Stalkers, and the Bots can have it for Detector Towers and Gunships. And maybe have the Jammer also interfere with its systems so you cant cloak while in its radius to prevent overly-easy shutdowns.

AMR not bad against bugs but not the best choice either. It's the single shots that's only good against your average set of bugs which tend to be a lot of and the ARM's ammo won't keep up. Not to mention it isn't reliable against bigger bugs like chargers, titans, or impalers. I love the AMR but I never bring it to bugs. However this build would be great against bots

3:40 if you have a hellbomb equipped in your hand you can call it anywhere in the map which could be similar to the calling nuke on SC1 since you have to be close to the target. also regarding using smoke you need some distance for it to work which make it almoust impossible to be used against the bugs

Advise when using the Smoke Granade, smoke acts as an obstruction to line of sight, but the thing is, when you use smoke, enemies will continue firing in the last direction you were heading. In order to use smoke you HAVE to chage directions when runing, if you keep runnig or moving in the same direction you were, is just not going to work. Also Melee base enemies will run troughg the smoke, so the more reason to chage direction. Aditionally, if you drop a smoke granade while there are enemies just 10 metters awsy from you, the smoke is not going to work, enemies have to be at further than 10 metters from for them to lost sight of you, so is useless if the enemies are literally breathing on your neck. You use Smokd when your enemies are at least more than 10 metters away.
@DelightfullyMADD19 күн бұрын
I think (not sure, haven't fully tested this) that you can also pop a smoke in front of you prior to taking another action like throwing a red stratagem. The smoke basically acts as cover, keeping the enemy from immediately spotting you and thus locking on to you. If you really want to flex and style as well, you could spend the time to mark all your targets, pop a smoke in front of you, and then start taking those targets out through the smoke by hitting the marks. Again, not 100% sure if this would work yet, but conceptually it should keep enemy bots from utilizing their absurd aimbot ability on you through the smoke.

Now all Arrowhead has to do is add some kind of cloaking backpack strategem and being able to truly play a Ghost Diver will be a reality. Upcoming Illuminid would be the perfect time and reason for such a stratagem addition, and could make stealth play truly fun and viable As far as Smoke goes, my understanding is it basically acts like a wall for purpose of breaking LoS, but you still need to be sure you alter your position after it's dropped because the enemy will still be heading towards your last known position. So if you just drop a smoke bomb and then just keep moving in a straight line, bots and especially bugs will just keep heading towards your last known position through the smoke, and once they go through the smoke and you haven't broken LoS in another way they'll just spot you again and your smoke will have been wasted. It's difficult to use, and some circumstances simply don't allow for it to be used very well. However, apparently it's also supposed to drastically decrease Bot aim through smoke since they no longer have LoS and thus will just fire at your last known spot but that seems to be very hit-or-miss (pun intended) as to whether it works or not
@thestickybandits732019 күн бұрын
More testing is needed, apparently.

@@thestickybandits7320 Yeah, it really does seem to be a coin flip on when it works. Sometimes it works great and let's me Go Ghost perfectly fine. Other times the Bot's Aim-Bot is still perfectly able to snipe you from 500m away with pinpoint precision even through smoke, so honestly it's still really inconsistent how well it works. To be fair... it works much better when in a squad since if you use smoke it's likely that enemies will then aggro on to your teammates :P
