It's very disturbing to learn that the University of Glasgow Student Union has recently passed a motion supporting Putin's invasion of The Ukraine on the grounds that 'Russian and the University of Glasgow are socialist allies and partners in arms in the Marxist struggle against Nazism.' Having claimed, in ntheir deluded minds, to be fighting against Fascism, Glasgow Uni SU then passed a motion, contrary to the law, calling on a 'boycott againts the Jewsish State of Israel.' The truth is that the University of Glasgow SU are leftist, anti-democratic, anti-Semitic bigots. I am also reliably informed since the passing of the pro-Putin motion Ukranian students at Glasgow Uni have found themselves being verbally and physically abused by pro-Russian students. All the time the university authorities sit by and do nowt.

As a student of the University of Glasgow I am both distressed and appalled by the copious amounts of female students at Glasgow University who are choosing to work as prostitutes, pole and lap dancers to make ends meet. Many of these report contracting STIs. One disclosed to me she was beaten up and raped whilst working as a hooker in Glasgow, allegedly by a member of staff at Glasgow University. The question arises as to what Glasgow University is doing (if anything) to address this growing problem amongst female students? The fact that female university students are finding themselves compelled to work as sex workers in Glasgow underlines just how bad the financial situation now is for university students.
