In Bulgaria, people are used to being self-sufficient and very creative. I think this new pipe situation might have something to do with your presence there and the fact that you are benefiting from the overflow. I don't want to make comments about specific people because I don't want to offend anyone reading this. But let's just say if what I suspect is true - this is typical behavior for this cute little country.... 🤷 I would suggest you get your own well/pump system and filtration system. Google SAER pumps Bulgaria. They are cheaper than the most common brands, but just as good as the big brands. Hopefully that will help.

I think you should create your own natural pool, capture your own water and let it feed your land and provide for your family. Build it on your land obviously. That will also provide a habitat for wildlife and increase your natural biodiversity

Next time you measure out the square (or rectangle) and want corners with 90 degrees, I can give you a hint. Measure out the diagonals. They have to be exactly the same size. You can also use the 3, 4, 5 tric for a corner of 90 degrees, but that is only useful for one corner.

I know you mentioned rainwater catchment, but catching all your roof runoff, and using a 12v pump (when sun is out) to pump it uphill to a large cistern might be an idea. Would also give you nice pressure for emergency fire use if needed.

I appreciate everything you do, but it is obvious how important is the mechanical machines. They are expensive. Without them Bulgarian can't do much important work, thats why our villages looks so poor. But people ar enot lazy, they are just ineffective without the capital. Capital should come from the cities to the villages

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this as I used to have a motorhome and after retiring I spent my time touring around Europe, mainly East so Bulgaria was a favourite. I'm envious as I very nearly moved there myself (I am also from UK) but age and ill health put an end to that but you've made the right decision as you are both young and your children will very quickly pick up the language and no doubt teach you! I am subscribing to your channel to view your journey and wish you all the best.

Wow! You are amazing! As a kid who grew up on a small farm, watching your son help on the equipment brought back memories!! I knew how to drive tractors and equipment very young also! I can say as an older lady now, it was the best childhood! I look at my nephews and see how they know next to nothing about the world or farming, and it makes me sad. You are raising some great children who will be amazing adults! I'm almost crying knowing that their childhood will be like mine was... I look back at it now and actually miss it!
