Lol you suck... Having to resort to abusing Resonator Blasts. Why not just go for the head over & over? Aim not good enough? Just use Gyro aiming + Concentration. Makes it MUCH easier.

I now have the newer version of the ps5 (not the slim one, thats trash) its not overheating anymore, I think its the fan thats the problem not really the heatsink itself

nah 100% legit. Bad Breath is more coolier with the ability to smush armor and bait rage arts.

Also, some high plus moves like a single quick jab can somehow block a rage art. I done it a few times in 7 and 8. Hectic. Nina and pretty sure armor king's breathe can also do it if you time it perfectly.

they removed that in T8, before this patch you cant Jab a rage art then block, tested it before too when t8 got released.

I have this game too. So while I was playing it does heat my console but I have limit of playing and also I have to skip all the cutscenes because it's one of the reason.

I figured that the 1st version of ps5 releases are the ones having trouble with this game, one fix I learned is to change the current fan to the ones that are on the 2nd generation ps5s. forgot the name of the fan but you can google it. I now have no problems playing this game.

Man I tried everything besides the liquid metal crap. I just remove the upper cover where the fan sits and place another mini fan on top of that stock ps5 fan. So basically fans are running and my ps5 stops over heating.

Just Finished the game yesterday. After the latest patch, I only had 2-3 overheating issues and only once it turned off. I believe its an optimization problem and a console problem, so both parties (square and Sony) have to fix these types of problems in the future games that to come out

sharing my own experience. Overheat in 2nd eikon battle, and then put extra fan and it resolved the issue until battle with bahamut that always turned off in the mid of the battle. Changed to performance mode, still overheat but the battles could last longer. Mine was dissambled in front of my eyes, fan, heat sink were clean. Then found the dry spot in metal liquid (you can google and found many reported similar incidents). After respread the liquid, overheat issue solved. no more extra fan, and you know what? the PS5 fan is silent even during Eikon battle. So it’s wrong that ff16 abuse the ps5 capacity. What a shame to Sony that remains silent about inconsistency in metal liquid application, assembly and quality control. The repairmen told me that he had 3-4 ps5 per day for similar issue.

I really believe its an optimization problem and a console problem, its a 50-50 from both sides.

@@Qcf2 , my repairment said that overheating in ps5 under normal environment is not normal. If it’s still under warranty, suggest to send it to sony. they will respread the liquid metal. When your ps5 fan often sounds louder, time to get it checked. Mine now is very silent on all scene, & any kind battle.

@@yohanesaw9992 Im no longer under warranty, thats why IM trying to fix it myself hehe. well after the latest patch its no overheating, well not as much as before, I have now finished the game it only overheated like twice an it shut off one time, but its completely fine now, I am now on my new game plus playthrough, thanks for the tip bro, I might have my liquid metal fixed if I have the budget next time
