This doesn't look like the one I just ordered. Is this a newer model? The one I ordered has smaller back wheels and a non fold up foot rest, but you can reverse it.

Interesting option. It's a transport chair/rolling walker with electric assist. I've seen other brands of these hybrids, but I think that this is the first one that I've seen with electric assist. They are designed to be used as a rolling walker most of the time, but with the option to be pushed while sitting due to distance, terrain, or just too tired or sore. Because they are meant to be used as a rolling walker most of the time, they don't have to be as bulky as a regular wheelchair. Thanks to the electric assist, the user doesn't have to wait for someone else to push them around.

seems all the good products are in australia or the UK and I don't see how they can be purchased in the USA? The ones built in the USA seem to have many bad reviews.

While this is remarkable - I don't see that this is a standing power wheelchair - unless he neglected to demonstrate that feature. While I love the Alexia - it looks rather uncomfortable for seating for any prolonged period of time - not enough seating to support the derriere whether seated or standing. There are companies that are making sit to stand power wheelchairs. I was hoping that Gilani had a model to compete.
