Electric eel is model c does have way more power....rigid 7500 or a big drum machine I found does a good job but if you get a rough drain....you will guaranteed have less problems on the job I'd you run an eel and know the tricks and have the proper cutters.

It's hard to get a grip on the shaft but a thin pair of needle nose will allow you to turn it a little at a time. Worked for me and heard some kind of obstruction rattle up the pipe and got flushed out. Easy savings of over $500.

It all depends how you clear a drain. I've used both and I still take my super vee with 5/16" cable and clogchopper end to break through kitchen sink setup like this.. The k50 is meh in hard, compact drains like coffee grinds and such. Again, it depends on what works for you. I don't use the k50 anymore. The super vee is just way more convenient

Thank you for posting this. It's illegal for a plumber in my state to change one of these two handled tub/shower faucets without replacing with a temperature control valve. I saw a Gerber kit in the hardware store when I had to replace the shower spray wand. I'll investigate more. Eventually I'll have to do the diverter set but I need to have walls out and have been putting off for that. I had quit doing my own plumbing.

Used these in the 80's and 90's in St.John's Newfoundland. We cleaned our catch basins on streets and cul-de-sacs manually like this every summer with 10 man crews .It's actually more efficient. When the silt/dirt gets packed together like in the video it's mud and hard to suck up with a Vac Truck Hose,. Even when loosened up with high pressure water it's still thick and heavy. So we did it manually every summer the whole City and we get enormous amounts of rain and Snow. So if the melt off of snow turning to water has nowhere to go as the Catch Basin Outflow Pipe is blocked with mud/silt so it' floods your basements and streets causing headaches. Once the Catch Basin is "" DIPPED " We Flush the Outflow Pipe with the High Pressure Hose with a Warthog Attachment on the end washing off the walls of the Outflow pipe making it work better as when excess water comes you want high efficiency in your Catch Basin System .This way it's an insurance for your infrastructure...as it will be working the way it was designed.

Hello, I have a Shellback Torpedo 15. Recently, when it rains, the water comes up through the basement floor drain. The sump pump will not turn on, I have to physically go back to where it is and hit the side of it. When I do this, it will start up and drain the water and then turn off by itself. And it will never turn back on until more water starts coming up through the floor drain, and I have to hit it again and the process repeats. Is there anything I can do to fix this myself? I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks!

I would have added a shut off valve at the water line...then flex line to the tank...imagine winter and a leak and having to go out in the snow to shut off the main water line.

1:22 "Yep. It will be [moves camera. creates noise]. It's totally backed up. Okay so this is the right place to snake it from. I'm gonna put the biggest [camera noise] fit in that hole right there so we can get a nice [inaudible]. So whichever one is the [camera noise: deepest?] one is the [camera noise: storm?] . So [inaudible] water that one goes down that far. Okay so that's what we want the shallower one. That's gonna be the sanitary."

@@andriartayudianto8918 I could not understand what he was saying. It looks like that is the main house trap. The hole closest to the exterior wall of the building USUALLY goes outside toward the sewer. The other hole goes to the interior house drains. It is a trap so both holes are connected by a U shaped pipe between them. If the holes are filled up with water, then the obstruction is probably outside, so insert the snake in outer hole and aim it toward the exterior. If the holes are not filled with water, the obstruction is probably toward interior of house, so use the other hole. =====U===== The trap and pipeline should look like this.
