Far too hurried and flat a lot. Marked as moderato. And why unaccompanied? It’s for choir and organ and this choir would definitely benefit from the organs support. Slow it down a bit and please sing it as Attwood intended. Have a look at the choir of Somerville College, Oxford - they know how to sing this beautiful work

If you listened to the piece there should be no doubt that the vocal and piano are mixed correctly. The piano is supporting the vocal in this mix. The placement of the mic works because we are using a good large diaphragm condenser with an excellent noise floor. Recording in a live setting is much different that a studio space - I hope this helps!
