Thanks for keeping me company while I did the evening dishes, my friend! I am definitely team “no flipping the omelet” but I’m with you as far as cooking the eggs though. I usually just throw a lid on top after adding in the other ingredients beside cheese until it’s cooked and fluffy on top. (Then melt the cheese) Or the fancy trick I saw somewhere is to lift up a side the omelet once to allow the runny eggs to run down under the omelet and cook, or to give it one stir in the middle before allowing it to “set”.
@heldfasthome5 ай бұрын
Thanks for the tips! 😊 I’ve been making omelets frequently since this video and I’ll have to try that lid trick with it! I’ve realized I’m probably overcooking the omelets when I flip them 😅

We should use wood or plastic utensils with honey so we dont damage the enzymes with metal
@heldfasthome Жыл бұрын
Certain metals might react with the enzymes in honey, but I’m comfortable using stainless steel with it - especially for such a brief amount of time. 😊 Thanks for looking out for me! 💕 Quality and purity of honey is important.

How does pruning help? I have 5 tomato plants right now that are much bigger than this and have quit a bit I could cut not sure if I should or not ?
@heldfasthome Жыл бұрын
I believe pruning leads to an overall healthy plant for a longer period of time. Pruning helps with airflow throughout the plant so that lingering moisture doesn’t encourage disease to spread through your plant. If you want to test out pruning, but aren’t quite convinced it’ll make much of a difference (I’ve had that mindset in the past 😆), you could pick one or two of your plants this season to try it out with and compare it to your other, not pruned plants! Or you could choose to only prune branches that touch the ground and leave the suckers for a bushier plant. I’d love to hear what you decide!

Thanks for the demo. What are your thoughts now after having the mill for a few months?🙂
@heldfasthome Жыл бұрын
I’ve been using it exclusively since this video and have no complaints! My only concern when purchasing the mill was that it would be difficult to use with my sourdough recipes, but the freshly milled flour has been surprisingly easy to use with my starter. I’ve figured out some delicious sourdough bread recipes with freshly milled flour that will be on the blog soon! 🥖❤️

I started purchasing from Azure about 3 months ago. They have great products and prices. My latest purchase included the coconut and pecans that you purchased. I have found 5 pound bags of organic unbleached all purpose flour at Trader Joes for $4.49, which is a lot less than Azure (it used to be $3.99 for 5 pounds but recently went up). Haven't found organic all purpose flour for less anywhere else.
