Too bad I'd have to put in a new subfloor from water damage.

My parents had wall to wall wool carpet in their house that looked beautiful for decades. Wool is great and really lasts if you take care of it. A small rug like this could last for generations and become a family heirloom now that you've made it lovely again. Gorgeous colors!❤❤❤

Great job on wasting a few tons of drinkable water to clean trash. Congrats. As if anyone would even bring you such rug. You get them dirty and clean them for ad revenue.

it's not drinking water and it's recycled.

Unless these rugs are worth major £ why bother cleaning it? It obviously been neglected and unwanted just buy a new one. It most cost more to clean than get a new one?

plot twist, the carpet was brown originally

All those chemicals and wasted water!!!😢 Just buy another rug

It probably depends on the type but ive found that the more expensive the rug the more cleanable it is. I spilled dynamic black tattoo ink (darkest pigment tattoo ink available) on my $5k rug and was actually able to get the stain completely out quickly with cold water and dawn dish soap

Hope you're not in California, that's a lot of water you have to use. Good job.

Nice to see the carpet & rug videos just to see how they turn out, & what they suppose to look like when finished. Great work my good man keep it up .

Captivating as your videos are, it is so odd that every rug you find ends up in pristine condition. No damage whatsoever. This rug was from a pile of trash. No bad stains, no oil marks just mud. It is also odd that the mud on every rug you clean is exactly the same colour.

Minor efficiency - but if you angle the squeegee a little bit when you wipe the floor clean, you can control the over-spill to one side and not have to go back. Works great for shoveling snow on driveways and pond hockey rinks. Love watching these videos.

What is a fiber burn test?
@Merrypaws3 күн бұрын
People use it when they don't know what material a piece of cloth is. They cut off a small piece and set it on fire, and observe. Natural fibers like wool don't burn very well, while artificial fibers basically melt like plastic. Apparently, different natural fibers also leave different kind of ash, but I'm not sure how that works exactly.

Question....When you get a rug completely smothered in grossness how can you tell what kind of care is required in the cleaning? Just curious. I mean, there must be a way or you would probably ruin quite a few rugs.
@MountainRugCleaning2xSpeed4 күн бұрын
A fibre burn test will tell you what its made of. Then you know how to tackle it.

What makes this little throw rug worth all this work
@MountainRugCleaning2xSpeed6 күн бұрын
It takes less resources to make a new one.
@mattlonergan50936 күн бұрын
@ fair enough but I mean is it valuable or is it just a generic throw?
@johanclaes527 күн бұрын
I feel like it would help if you put the rug on a grate so that the dirt can fall through and get away from the rug instead of staying under it until you flip it over

The only thing why I rarely watch these extremely dirty carpet cleaning videos is because these channel creators are making them dirty them selves. Feels bit silly.
