Odd that you're commenting on a video 5 years old 😅 but no, Traptrix is my main deck that i have used for tournaments. Also, I have the Mana moon weight of the world double player cloth playmat I use now.

Great video man. Under the desk for the win! It was great running alongside during that push outside. I appreciate you highlighting that there was also a lot of good sportsmanship and gameplay at Casevac and the Admin staff was doing the best they good given the conditions and ill intentions of some of the players. Do you think it’s ok to do this for 1 or 2 very expensive cards in an official tournament? I know it’s technically not legal, but will you always get away with it if the cards are sleeved?

@@billykidman2091 I mean I would have only done it at locals your not going to get a lifetime ban. Would be a lot more though because I would only do it for cards worth 40+ probably ones I want multiples of. That’s what’s nice about commander in magic the gathering that I just got into is you can use proxies and it’s totally fine.

@@legalam for tournaments just buy the 70 cards for one deck... not worth the risk of being disqualified and at the point youre competing you definitly may invest into supporting the game

Can you use proxys at locals? and how would they find out if it is a proxy anyway since it looks just like the real one? is there some kind of deck checking when you go to a tournament?

At least for MTG it is good etiquette to let strangers know your using proxies and let them know which cards. If your playing in sanctioned tournaments its probably frowned upon. Part of these games is the actual collecting of rare cards. If everyone just prints their own cards which are also the most powerful - why bother imo. Im in the middle of building budget yugioh decks (HEROS & Harpie) using around the same budget I use for MTG Commander - $100. Is it gonna be these turn 1-2 yugioh competitive meta sheep games? Nah that's not how I have fun. They should be able to handle casual/semi competitive tho.

@@project_hollow6627 it’s also pretty weird how in order to win competitive matches in local tournaments, you have to play by the meta, which means having to buy the hand traps and staples that are popular. Triple ash? Literally 90 dollars. Lightning storm? Droplet? Prosperity? I mean if people can use proxies without the snotty sword soul player finding out, all the better.
