Some good points there about criticism. We all learned from criticism by our family and teachers growing up. As long as it is a fair criticism and said in a loving way and not meant to be used as a weapon to make one feel badly, it is good.
@FYERFlGHTER8 күн бұрын
Someone leaves negative comments, it shows where their heart is. True statement. 👍 I never understood the political rants. If two "adults" disagree political, ok... Have a mature discussion and agree to disagree if the two opinions don't match. I love having an open debate and hearing other people's opinions. Guess what?! Your opinion may change. Only way to grow! Good stuff

Like, riding a loud bike around town? Don't get me wrong, I ride, and my car is straight piped. But a bit of a double standard there.
@MATTTHEGREETER12 күн бұрын
Not a loud pipe episode man. Just the flag. Flag etiquette. I've talked loud pipes in earlier episodes. I live just outside of Boston, MA. My pipes are negligible among the cement mixers, pavers, sirens, and everything else throwing sonic pollution. I don't rev-bomb around dogs or kids. Just talking about the flag today. What's your car btw? My friend has a Corvette from the 60s that is straight piped. It sounds absolutely killer, but it's tough on long drives! If I'm ever in a position to pick up a second bike I want it to be a quiet option, for night rides, and when I have early morning shifts. I'm up at 5 usually. No one needs to hear Vance and Hines at that hour haha. Anyway, thanks for the comment!

Weather wise, Massachusetts has been great. Years ago I wanted to move out of here, since the weather was so horrible, but to me this is the best place in the states to live now. Less snow in the winter, longer summers and none of the major disasters the rest of the country are encountering with the fires, floods, tornados, etc. (Other than the cost of living here, it is ideal.)

I have a tasteful 4x6 US flag outside my house. Every 2 years it becomes faded and I replace it (and bring it to the transfer station where they have a box for US flags which they are respectfully disposed of by the VFW.) I remember after 9/11 (anniversary tomorrow) everyone had an American flag outside there homes. Now-a-days it seems like the US Flag is political statement which it shouldn't be and isn't in my case (I have heard people say they are afraid to fly the flag since it indicates you are for a certain candidate or political group....I even heard that statement stated on the radio too.)

Sorry to hear about Monty's. I was going to college in W. Bridgewater in the early 70s and would stop in there all the time to look at the few bikes they had on display. It was a little (kinda grungy) dealership you might be relunctant to even go in asking yourself if it was safe, but they were always nice. As far as work done on the HD, I don't know how they are now, but many years ago I had the top end of my AMF era HD done by Rahn's Motorcycle Engineering in Abington and they did a great job. (They even worked thru the night to finish it and I picked the bike up at 4am since I was heading up to Weirs for bike w/e that day.) re: college. That property around there is getting expensive, so i bet it will be knocked down and made into house lots or condos.
@MATTTHEGREETER27 күн бұрын
Yeah, Monty's always had a consistently grungy feel. The showroom (still tiny) was cleaner the last time I was in. It looked like it was being taken good care of. I think the Revolution Road H-D moved right in to the existing location. It's such a tiny spot I wonder if they'll end up moving at some point. Wouldn't be the worst idea, as long as it's closer to where I live! It takes me around 45 minutes to get there usually. Rahn's is still in Abington. I reached out to them for a part a couple years ago, but they're still pretty busy! It's pretty hard to get to from where I am now because traffic is always a nightmare. I may have to re-engage with MOMs in Foxboro, which I've tried to avoid, since they are a mega-store, but they're soooo close! Maybe 15 min away.
