Yes, men were often told to suppress their emotions, focus on being providers, and even encouraged to have multiple women, as if emotional connection wasn't a core human want. On the other hand, women were taught to depend on men for physical and financial security but not for emotional fulfillment. This creates a significant imbalance, as both genders are denied a full expression of their humanity-men their emotions and women their independence. True connection thrives when emotional, physical, and financial wants are balanced for everyone.

Then men who want a woman to rely on them, want to rely on their woman as well. It's called a relationship. And they're the only thing in the world that makes society valuable. A family. "Narrow", there is nothing narrow about constraining possibilities to the path you've chosen in reality. That's called duty. And that's what being an adult is. If both of you, have the same duties, one of you is unnecessary. Men and women are not oxen lashed to a cart. You aren't pulling together for another master. That's slavery. Not a relationship. If you have not, and will not choose duty over yourself, you are not a wife. You are a quarrelsome and selfish person.
