3 years late in this response, but a couple of things in play in here. 1) The ball in the circle doesn't "kill play". It only makes the runners make a decision whether to return to the base they occupied or continue to the next base. You can't see the runner's actions until you see her heading home, but I'm guessing she headed toward third, saw no one was paying attention and just kept going. She is legal by doing so. She has not violated the look back rule. 2) The look back rule doesn't even apply until the batter that was walked reaches first base. You can see at the end of the video the batter is still trotting to first as the play at the plate has ended.

I love the Cal Band, I love college football, I think the Grambling Band is great, and we had a great day in Berkeley last Saturday. +adams782003 Cal always does a post-game show in this manner when there is a visiting band whether it's San Jose State, Ohio State, or Grambling (unless it's somebody like the USC band, which is very disrespectful of other schools and bands and refuses to participate). In my experience, band people don't seem to regard themselves as "battling" each other. It's more a matter of mutual respect and the joy of playing music. Certainly the Grambling Band is fantastic, and we were thrilled they were able to come to Berkeley. And I am glad to have been able to post this video of the post-game show for everyone to enjoy.
