1:39:00 I think wireless mesh network use RSTP/STP to detect loops? I get what you are saying though, the wireless mesh network would not know about the loop caused by the physical cables. Could the router connecting to both the wireless bridge and the physical cable not use STP to detect loops though?

The sales dept wrote this script, the engineers managed to get a couple of sentences past them, but this was a pointless video.

He knows a lot but we really need diagrams to help explain the theory and need to slow this down. It's like someone is shouting acronyms at me while waving their hands and the camera man keeps cutting to different angles.

I would have loved to hear about how exactly isis distributes the information and who has what information. When I plug in a device into an UNI port on BEB-X how does BEB-Y at the other end of the network exactly get to know that this customer MAC is behind BEB-X? Does every change get distributed to everyone or do they update each other hop by hop?

its frustrating when vendors never talk about the configuration of getting the AP on the network in the first place. Native vlan, trunking, tagged/untagged ports, cisco port configuration, extreme port configuration, etc. They just assume that the AP is on the network correctly. How does that happen? Couldn't even find anything in the extreme docs on this.

heres what raised my curiosity to bring me here. I use my phones wifi hot spot for my home internet (i know... but its more than enough for me) and when i had me a Polar Pop (40oz) and had it placed between my phone and computers wifi reciever I noticed a drop in my steam downloads whenever i took a swig (moved the large volume of liquid) in and out of the direct path of the two (consistent results with like 10-15 drink moves)

So a demand for a network driven by machine learning ties to sensors focusing on environmental queues..i.e i think using a network of sensors to know when to say, allow a heard of cows to rotate onto a new rested parcel of land could be an interesting use of networking and coding in the regenerative agriculture space.

Not enough water for the test. Just a bit more and your wifi will fail. I use and tested this with wifi cameras that i use underwater. Ia swimming pool or a lake WiFi stops working when the receiver is farther away and the transmitter is farther away underwater

Could you please explain whats the difference between 5420 n 5520 series switch?
@diegocruz84593 ай бұрын
I believe the difference is just 5520 being more versatile in uplink options since its modular, has some more redundancy like hotswap power components, and more bandwidth for stacking.
