thank you all so much we have come to the conclusion that the aio in this pc is not good enough for it
@MrMcDougleGaming5 ай бұрын
Watercooler is junk more than likely need a 360mm aio instead
@Luna0-z6m5 ай бұрын
@MrMcDougleGaming yea i am looking into the biggest aio corsair sells which is the icue link h170i
@ChubbyChicken6455 ай бұрын
You might've left the sticker on the CPU which you're supposed to remove
@Luna0-z6m5 ай бұрын
@HypeXtra nope it actually didn't have one it came with a plastic bottom that covered the pre applied thermal paste we are already looking into a new aio
@popcornboi225 ай бұрын
Your cpu is drawing 200 watts, so this sounds like a cooling issue to me if it's getting to 100c during an update. I don't think a h100i is good enough for the high end 13/14th gen intel cpus, I would try and get a 360mm or 420mm AIO instead. I have a liquid freezer ii 360mm for my 13900k, and the temps never go above 78c under full load. I would also look into undervolting as that may help as well.
@Luna0-z6m5 ай бұрын
@popcornboi22 thank you i found out that yea the aio is not powerful enough so temporary i unplugged the secondary cpu power connector so i am going with the biggest icue link aio corsair sells and shoving that big aio in here and that should fix it
@propel57185 ай бұрын
@@Luna0-z6m the pump on the aio might have died because of the position you have the aio in which could be why temps are so high. Happened to me once out of the blue after 3 years of use but lian li had a 5-year warranty so I got a new one for free.
@propel57185 ай бұрын
I have a 14700k and my 280mm aio cools it fine.
@Luna0-z6m5 ай бұрын
@@propel5718 it can't be dead because one the aio would throw a fit and two there is water moving through it and three i can hear the pump and water start when the system does
@Luna0-z6m5 ай бұрын
@propel5718 yea i need a new aio i found that out just this one isn't big enough
@mrdisem5 ай бұрын
It's cooling problems, overclocking problems, or temp data is wrong. And it can be something else still.
@Luna0-z6m5 ай бұрын
can't be temp data due to the rad and water still get hot and so does the pump gets very hot
@mrdisem5 ай бұрын
@@Luna0-z6m well, it should turn off by itself when it's reaches 100 degrees Celsius. If cooling set up properly, it shouldn't even be near 100 degrees. Maybe cooling is malfunctioning.

did you try undervolting? if dont go to intel XTU try also lowering p cores helps
@Luna0-z6m5 ай бұрын
ok i will try this just i undervolted it before and vr games had a tendency of crashing a lot i will try this first and if i don't get anywhere i have another idea which is to redo the thermal paste and make sure the cooler is sat down correctly and the last resort is, is getting a bigger aio
@Luna0-z6m5 ай бұрын
ok so i tried xtu and i bascially can't use a virtual machine with it at the same time or else it doesn't work
@JP-pf1ms5 ай бұрын
@@Luna0-z6mI had to double check the vid and I saw u only have 240mm aio on a 13th gen cpu might need to upgrade that. Also some vr game do have tendency to not like undervolted cpus. And rn there’s issues on 13/14th gen cpus idk if i7 also having the same problem as the i9
@Luna0-z6m5 ай бұрын
@JP-pf1ms yea i haven't really had any instability issues though at normal voltage

i was originally gonna go for a icue h170i but my dad is worried about the tubes because it will be almost right up against the motherboard like it would be a couple inches away from it

I have the most scuffed pc here. I'm not even going to bother checking the other comments. I'm using a 12100 slim pc prebuilt with 8gb of ram and the side panel removed. I run a pcie cable out to a 3080, where the side panel is being used as a shelf to hold it. It's supported by the second psu I bought to power it. I'm using empty video game boxes to hold everything up to keep the exact distance needed to prevent the pcie cable from folding. There's also two halves of an empty phone box holding up both the gpu and psu respectively. Great air flow, but it is an actual monstrosity. I also have to run the psu with a paper clip in the 24 pin cable at all times, because the pc I have doesn't use that connector, and it needs a circuit to power on my gpu. Did I mention that this takes up about 4 square feet of space?

With all that budget that you put into the ram and storage, you couldve gotten a 3070ti at the lest or a 3080
