it doesnt make even sizes , all faces now are random in size :(
@Glowbox3D3 күн бұрын
All the faces will conform to the face you select last. The faces should only be scaled in a way to straighten the UV island. You shouldn't have a bunch of random size faces. I'd have to see what island you're trying to straighten.

Is the mesh hi or low poly? When I try to bring it over to mixamo it does not see to work so well =(
@Glowbox3DАй бұрын
You can use high or low poly meshes in rigging. Of course you don't want to upload a scanned characters. The topology has to be decent. Make sure the character doesn't have any large clothing attachments, or long hair strands...swords...etc. Miximo wants to rig a body with normal clothing--if too many extra bits are on the character mesh, it doesn't know how to solve it.

Not fully sure what you mean-the normal map? If that’s the case I wouldn’t worry about it, just export out of Miximo with the skin and texture it after you bring it back into your 3d software.

If you've packed your textures with your FBX, Mixamo should see it. But if it's not working, then I'm not sure. It happens to me to. Sometimes Mixamo doesn't pull the textures. Don't fret too much, it's not necessary to have textures on in Mixamo. Get a good anim, download the FBX and mesh from Mimxamo, and texture it in your 3d software of choice.

Not sure. Are you talking about the '10 centimeters' in the viewport info? I just downloaded the model from Sketchfab, ask the creator of the character mesh. :) The size is irrelevant for this tutorial, don't fret.

Is there a way to do something similar without stretching the hell out of the UVs?
@Glowbox3D4 ай бұрын
Does it stretch terribly? If you were to write text down the straight unwrap, the text would sit perfectly around the center faces. Maybe this technique is bad?

Thank you for the tutorial. When my blanket falls on the matress it works but there is a gap between the blanket and matress if i get close with my camera, is there a setting to get rid of the gap?
@Glowbox3D9 ай бұрын
Yes, it's collision distance--the cloth will be default distance 0.015 m. You'll want to change this to 0.010 or less. The lower you go, the closer it will be, but at some point it might become unstable. Find a good number. Also, make sure self collision is on, with a good distance too. Also, if things slip, up the friction to 15 or 20. Good luck.

good video. it's interesting seeing how you do your prompts. you're getting better results from gpt4 than i have so far. i don't think these LLMs are particularly close to taking over the job of crafting this type of story anytime soon. the reader is responsible for thinking quite a bit about how they are interacting with the LLM, which really detracts from the immersion. i think for a certain type of reader, this might be a feature more than a bug though. i've used an oracle system for years to play my own procedurally CYOA stories, though the procedure is physical in that case. for me, there already weren't CYOA books that really fit my goals and LLMs feel like a natural, if sometimes finicky next step in oracle systems. they offload more of the thinking since an oracle system with dice is very limited and i have to invest a lot more time thinking about how to interpret the answers. i've been trying to build a prompt based oracle system but LLMs can go a bit silly after playing for too long and forget what they are supposed to be doing. i tend to prefer the way claude actually writes compared to gpt4, but gpt4 follows instructions for this sort of thing so much better.

Nice, very cool. Ya, I've been playing with Claude 2, and it's great. I've been trying to get access to the 100K token version for a while now, and no dice. Comparably, I think the pros that GPT4 kicks out is still more nuanced and natural than Claude 2...at least for now. But I haven't really tried coercing Claude nearly as much as I have GPT. I'm sure they can get wacky after a long time, but honestly I haven't found that yet. I have three different adventures going on, and they are a good 30-40 choices in, and they are holding solid, are entertaining, and still adding plot points that work. And it is still adding story elements in that harken back to past choices. Pretty cool. Thanks for watching!
