Wow! That was a battle. It was exausting to watch, but I can't imagine of how hard it was to play out this battle. It's worthy of a rematch, but with more players. Six players would, as You mentioned, be a blast. One Saturday, beer and food, would be a day to remember.

Great game and looking forward to the next one, Check Cav rules guys. They still get +1 attack on the charge vs everything. they lose the knockdown vs monsters. hope it helps

We did and the extra attack was applied. Except against other cav and mountrous cav where the extra attack does not apply

30:39- I’m pretty sure that rule only applies when Goroth is on his final wound. So he would have had to have taken two of the wounds and spent his fate in that combat. Fun report either way.

As much as I understand Mumak is a weak creature compare to its point. Do you suggest an army build around Mumakil or should I just choose a different army?

The Mumak has exploitable weaknesses but it is a fantastic piece and it is very strong if used correctly

@onura2710 to be honest I'm out of the competitive loop as bar a few tournaments and keeping up with the meta before covid I have only done narrative gaming. The war leader is definately a good profile. Higher courage, heroic move denier and comes with upgrades. It can have 18 models in your warband. So a force of Blowpipe wielding mahud on its Howdah and camels to back it up should be a good start

Unbalanced yes, but cool. Probably You should have put in som more morannons to balance it out. Roughly 1216 points against 476. Put in additional 740 points of orcs and go at it again.

Yeah. An extra 70 morrannons might have grinded them down. It's not like I painted a 120 of the guys so I should have enough 😊

Nice ! i'm discovering this grand campaign a bit late. Where do you find all of those scenarios, do you create them, or is there a book with special rules and army lists ?

When we set out on this mission 8 years ago I compiled a list of all published scenarios from the various source books, army books, rulebook, white dwarfs etc. After we started the project we had to expand the list to include the newer supplements released in the current edition. We did however not go back chronologically so there are scenarios we will not cover in this version of our campaign. Thank you for watching

I have in the past when we were asked. But the document had changed quite a bit since then. We will probably publish the document when we finish the campaign next year. I believe the last scenario will be published sometime in March 2025

I thought for sure Eomer was given a shield in this Rohan shieldwall scenario. Feel like that’s an oversight by the writers.

Possibly. I know he lost his shield at some point during the fight at least in the movies but at this time I cannot recall if it fits with this scenario or not

They fit with the original models quite well in my opinion. Hoping for one more character if the newest teaser of the tattered cloak is not a corrupted Arnor model or a orc who has taken a cloak of a Arnor captain.

Not to be rude. I know we don't have a pro setup with foam tiles and stuff so we probably don't have the best audio but it's been some time since people have commented on the audio. Instead of saying our sound needs work, can you specify what about the audio you think needs work and in what way. We are not pros, we don't have unlimited resources. If you know please give tips.

Fun game. Offcourse there is a big advantage for the riders in this scenario, but it is payback for all those scenarios earlier in the campaign where the evil forces has, Whiles favourit, relentness hordes. And true to the lore, here the tide of battle for Middlearth ia about to turn.

Given the importance of Gandalf in these storylines and the inability of tin cans to kill, I’d like to experiment with a +1 to fight value or banner re-roll special rule for Gandalf. Maybe start at a 3” bubble and see if that gives more of a fighting chance

It is a difficult defence for the good side. And the scenario should be skewed in favor of the evil side for this one. It is not impossible for good to win but it is hard.

I might be mistaken, but I thought Gandalf could not leave the one half of the board until Pippin catches him. That would make a much more difficult game for the Good side.
