update: apparently, 'imperfect' is used differently when teaching different languages. I answered my own question by asking ChatGPT the following "is the linguistic term imperfective used differently when teaching different languages?"... scary, but that's another topic.

I get it better each time I come back to study these motion verbs, but only if I forget the following....Use of 'imperfective' term in Russian teaching seems confusing in part because e.g. in learning Spanish 'imperfective' seems to be taught as meaning an incomplete action in past only, but never incomplete action in the present. For example 'voy al parque tres veces por semana' (habitual ongoing action) is termed as using present indicative, and 'iba al parque tres veces por semana' (past habitual action) is termed as using imperfect.... I'm guessing same with Portuguese... However, In Russian e.g., Ya Xozhu b park 3 raza b nedyeliou (habitual ongoing action) is termed as using imperfective even though it's in the present. Maybe I'm confused, or not confused and 'imperfect' is used differently when teaching different languages?

But yes i didn’t write down anything so that i could specifically learn russian. But i when i listen your this video i was already watching other KZbin videos on 1.5x speed and i didn’t notice that this video was also playing on 1.5x but i understand you very well what you have told in this video. There was very few words that i didn’t listen before. I have seen your video on verb . You have explained it beautifully and excellently. I appreciate your work and effort. I want to learn russian to perfection I don’t know why but it’s very exciting for me to learn it and also i fantasize that one day i will speak Russian like a pro

Thank you for the lesson. In the case: она отвозит детей в школу, does the meaning change if I use: Она возит детей в школу Она привозит детей в школу Она водит детей в школу Она отводит детей в школу Она приводит детей в школу Do we really need to use возить/везти to specify that we are using transportation (a car) or водить/вести can imply both taking by car or walking? Also, does the use of prefix от or при change the meaning if we’re using “в школу” in both cases? Do we need to use a prefix at all? I think all the 6 sentences would be translated into English in the same way (she takes her kids to school). Thank you
