Public school doesn’t help kids who are shy, my kid has severe social anxiety and she just can’t learn in a room full of kids. When other kids get the info and she doesn’t, she felt stupid. Working with her for just a few weeks I don’t understand why they never looked into autism or adhd. They always assumed we were abusive because of how she is but she inherited this from me, I got it from my dad, he got it from his. Socialization in public school didn’t help her. She’s learning more with me and the time to learn program than she did in school. I notice her issue is she doesn’t slow down, she gets stuff wrong that she knows because she’s not slowing down and double checking her work, she just needs someone to help her.

Hi Christina! I’m sorry I didn’t introduce myself. This is Zaina I’m from Long Island and I’m planning on homeschooling my son September this year 2025z he will be in 9th grade. How do I know what classes he should take? By the way I didn’t go to school in the US so I have no idea how things works here. Thank you 😊

I especially enjoy this type of plans and goals videos as well as your day in the life or week in the life videos. I find it very helpful to understand how you are doing school with a wide range of ages and how you blend various materials together. Did you end up using The Precious People with Gather Round home school's ancient people? My initial goal for 2025 is to simplify our home. It may take me the entire year, but I want to go through room by room and make every space more functional for everyday life.

My daughter is in a Christin preschool, but they don't have a spot for her in kindergarten next year. I am very disappointed with the school because I not only attend their Church since I was pregnant (she is 5 now) and serve there, but also my child attends the school since she is 3. I also have twins with special needs and my husband and I already care for them at home. So, now I am thinking about homeschooling because I have a hard time thinking that my child will be in school all day long and not be able to spend much time with her sisters and parents. However, English is not my first language, and I am afraid she won't learn it if she doesn't go to school. And that was the main reason she started going to school in the first place. What do you recommend for me? Please help.
