Yes we are, Kaysen’s family owns some private we hit every now and again but we have always hunted public💪
@orlandeinboden68569 күн бұрын
That’s awesome. I just moved to Utah from Texas, where everything is private, so I’m trying to figure out this public land stuff haha. Are there online maps stating where you can hunt?
@HKCountry19 күн бұрын
Congrats on the move! We use the OnX Hunt app on our phones. Even though it is a subscription, it’s THE best tool to show any hunter the public land and private land boundaries- that we’ve found anyway. It also allows offline maps so when you’re out of service you can still see where you’re at and where the boundaries are👍
@orlandeinboden68569 күн бұрын
Thanks I’ll have to give it a try! What call are y’all using? Foxpro?
@HKCountry18 күн бұрын
We use a Lucky Duck Revolt. It’s pricey but WELL worth the money in our book. We also have a video breaking down all our coyote hunting gear if you’d like to check that out as well!💪

Just found your channel today. So far loving it! How long do you typically stay on a stand/set? Tell me about your gun/rig. Thanks!
@HKCountry12 ай бұрын
Thank you we appreciate the support! We typically stay on a stand 15-20mins if the weather is perfect and depending on our area. If the weather is horrible and we’re not seeing the best sign we limit stands to 10-12mins. We actually have a gear video- kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4LNgqd9dtKFaaMsi=HbtCS9XgasvtI6gK

Thanks!💪 Kaysen is rocking a Savage .22-250 shooting 55gr Hornady. Hunter is rocking an AR shooting .223 75gr. Hunter is thinking of going lower in grains to reduce the hole size we’ve been putting in them😂 feel free to check out our gear video as well- kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4LNgqd9dtKFaaMsi=HbtCS9XgasvtI6gK

The last few years of my elk hunting has been mostly in the pinion pine and juniper woods. It's easier to get around for an old guy and the animals are there. It's a whole new experience from all the days of hunting way back in the woods. Where I hunt now I am always able to hear the traffic on the highway and often the train. The animals can also clearly hear the same noises and have become used them. It's amazing how as large an animal an elk is it can be there one second and you may never see it again after that second, when you're in the pinion country. Watch your scent and don't skyline yourself.

is this just more complicated paper tuning ?
@HKCountry15 ай бұрын
It has the same end result as paper tuning. We prefer to do it each year just to double-check that the broadheads have the same impact as our field points. Not all broadheads are created equal. Great question!
