@user-fr3hy9uh6y2 ай бұрын
@rmonarrez28 Apollo 13 went 400,172 kilometers away from earth, in Earth orbit. Still the record for humans. I think Artemis might beat it, but it is a three body orbit, not earth orbit or lunar orbit. Artemis does not have enough delta V to go to and return from a true lunar orbit.

James Webb has the ability to look very far into space, and therefore, very far into the past. Indeed, although light travels at the dizzying speed of 300,000 kilometers per second, the Universe is so vast that some images that reach us today are billions of years old! Does the James-Webb telescope call into question the Big Bang? Here's why it's not that simple Six months after its commissioning, the space telescope continues to surprise scientists. His observation of primitive galaxies confirms for the first time that there exists something beyond what the Hubble observer before him could have done. And ask about the standard model of the Big Bang. Interview with Olivier Sanguy, mediator at the Cité de l'espace in Toulouse.

I just don't understand how it managed to reverse it's course 180 degrees in less then 10 years time. No one seems to be talking about this. What sun did it reach in only a few years to be able to pull a maneuver to round the sun and come back in our direction? I know it was moving fast when it left our solar system, but I don't believe it reached light speed, so it should still be out there traveling away from us right???
