Please tell me what resources you used to learn Klingon lol this is amazing, I didn't know people were actually learning the conlangs from star trek - i wonder if i can learn vulcan?

@@lighthouse6543 I don't exactly "know" Klingon, I used this website hol.kag.org/ to translate the words of the "teacher noise" bit, rearranging the words to fit the object-verb-subject word order Klingon uses. Klingon is an actual fleshed out conlang created by a linguist for Star Trek II, however Vulcan isn't (it was a last minute decision to dub over a piece of English dialog with "Vulcan", which is basically just made up to match the lip sync). I know there are online courses to learn Klingon, I think Duolingo has one, and I know for a fact there are some mega nerds out there that are fluent in Klingon

The word-for-word "translation" method is (painfully) obvious to those of us who fit your "mega nerd" description. It's a little like someone consulted a thesaurus without recognizing the difference between nouns, verbs, and suffixes. The pronunciation isn't bad, though.
