Ships in the ST universe fight at distances of tens of thousands of kilometers. The movies and TV never seem to get that right.

OK, so this was awesome.

Enterprise refit was the toughest roughest meanest ship in the fleet. She was better than the B,C,D and E.

This is the very first time I'm seeing "Kirk's Enterprise" get a major upgrade in its refit. If only The Original Series continued to show something like this being done. Because I'm only familiar with the series' version of the Enterprise and not the movie. Without context to bridge them together like this i would have thought "#NotMyEnterprise".

Great video, but the whole Michael Bay camera always has to move effect is over used and ruins it for me.

Meh. Too many graphics errors and digital artifacts to count. No clear connection hardware or mechanism when parts are put in place. They just magically stick together. Way too many "uncanny valley" red flags that make it look fake and cartoony. Proof positive that a well done, and properly filmed practical model is far superior to CGI every time.

Yeah, if I was the Klingon Commander I would think long and hard about staying after Three (3) Constitution class Cruisers show up and they are fresh and ready to throw down, especially since the Enterprise just smoked two (2) D-7's and is still game for more.

Pretty dang good. You were also the first to have me realize that the top of the Refit sausage section had phaser banks on it and I never knew what they were before I'm not much of a original series guy, lol.

That was great but, I have the same problems with it as I have with most Trek battle scenes: the ships maneuver in a non Newtonian manner and they the battle take place in far too close proximity to each other, what appears to be hundreds to thousands of feet. I get this is done for cinematic and dramatic purposes but one of my favorite episodes was the “Balance of Terror” where Kirk squared off against the Romulan commander reminiscent of submarine warfare. David Weber I think does space warfare the best with long rage battles taking place at relative velocities at millions of miles distances and short range at hundreds to thousands of miles. Arguably the best show to keep within the laws of physics and still present great space battles is “The Expanse.” Babylon 5, Firefly and Battlestar Galactica also do well in this regard. That said this video was very enjoyable although there were several time the Klingons were set up perfectly for an aft shot with Photon Torpedoes from the Enterprise.

I'm kinda late to this. I can say the Starship Enterprise ncc1701 took inspiration from a surviving wwi battleship. BB35 USS Texas. She too went under a transformative refit. She converted from Coal to Oil, she was stripped of the Birdcage Masks to the Triple Mast superstructure. The new radar system introduced in the US fleet Anti aircraft. By Dec 7, 1941 she was not the same ship as she was in 1914 when she first touch water.

And if needed, she could've took out the V'GER vessel in a final blaze of glory...

Not gonna lie, that was freaking awesome. I can admit, I'm a fan of how ships handled in the older movies like Wrath of Khan. Slow, cumbersome rather than the newer generation where they react like fighter jets in atmosphere.

The Klingons feared the Federation's capabilities because the Klingon Empire built warships..... that were matched and beaten by the Federation's general purpose science ships.
