This is from her collective album Sometimes Why by Sometymes Why recorded in 2005. Sadly it's not the best recording of her voice. The best version I have heard is from the transatlantic sessions recorded for the BBC whilst in Scotland. This was sung with Mary Chapin Carpenter and Julie Fowlis and Donal Lundy on grand piano. Truly an emotional song. But then again, anything that either these ladies sing is wonderful.

I'm grateful for PBS..I was a little kid when PBS came on outta Syracuse NY..Man I'd watch it with my parents to get some FINE education and culture..and after mom went to bed I noticed my Dad would perk up at TOM WAITS...JOE COCKER (he explained what MADOGS AND ENGLISGMANmeant ..the British soldiers over 100 yes ago used to say when it was 110 degrees "only people out this afternoon were MADOGS and Englishman"and Roy Master of the telecaster!!Thank you
