Being an officer in the City of Chicago has to be one of the most difficult jobs around. Born and raised here, I saw how my parents migrated from the South and worked hard for a better life for their children. It is sad to see how this city has deteriorated. Growing up I never knew the crime to be this bad; it is disgusting. Let's not kid ourselves, the mayor is the one who really runs this city. The superintendent, to me, is just a figurehead.
