I'm trying to weld a piece of the back of an automic transmission back on and a friend just gave me a 70 amp/115 volt stick welder. Been having mixed advice on if this will do the job. One guy said it would probably work if I used E4043 rods in 1/16" but unfortunately, 3/32" is the smallest I've found so far except for TIG rods. Any thoughts or advice is welcome.

Metallic Green.... wow, talk about stepping the bar man! Metallics are hard to spray, and green is probably the hardest color to spray. Good stuff man! stick with it and you will get it.
@highaceoffroad2887 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, now that I have sprayed it and know how little the first coat has to be, I am confident going forward. just have to fix these runs first, lol bugger! I wanted a color that stands out and I love old school metallics so I figured I would give it a try. I love the color in the sun.
@BareRoseGarage Жыл бұрын
@@highaceoffroad2887 you can change the shade and depth of "green" with under-coats as well. If you want it to brighter paint it yellow first, if you want it to be deeper paint it blue. That's why green is so hard to spray, because picks up what's under it more than any other color. It's almost like spraying "Candy"..... and Candy Apple Green...... WOW that's got to be the hardest of them all.... lol.
@BareRoseGarage Жыл бұрын
@@highaceoffroad2887 Seriously though.... for a 1st try, it's not that bad man. You know what you have to fix, and you GOT THIS Man! 4-5 light coats, let them tack, then your.... "Here we go" final wet coat.

That HF arc start could cause issues down the road. Most CNCs don't like HF pilot arcs as they cause the CPU to lock up
