Ain't no way the dental hygienist is allowed to have nails like that. It's actually a violation of sanitary rules. It's not a "State" thing it's a known fact in the Dental field per OSHA nails like that are not allowed for hygienic reasons, not just because they are super long and pointy and could jab someone in the gums but because they could potentially carry germs. Yes, hand washing is done. Some practices do allow acrylic nails to a certain degree. They can't be this long, and the sharp edges are concerning. It could be that the hygienist had a vaction and wanted to get her nails done.
