My guy i know you didn't just say TOTK is infinitely different than BOTW lol 🤦‍♂️😆 the whole structure of the game almost in every way is literally the same beat for beat (there are several great yt videos breaking this down i recommend u watch & u will see). Same map, same mission structure, same gameplay, same basic bare bones combat only this time they put BOTW slate abilities into links hand so they could give it a different name ie ultra hand barely any story and the little its got is basically the same classic zelda story retold in every game with a slight twist. Literally all the time spent on TOTK was in the ultra hand gimmick and ascend and making sure players didn't break the game with it during puzzles and it shows hence why everything else in the game is very mediocre and i would personally say not fun at all at least in a games like final fantasy or spiderman the gameplay is fun but i personally did not find TOTK gameplay fun at all very outdated gameplay and mechanics in my opinion also the ui and item management is horrible and don't even get me started on that weapon system. Now yes i will give it credit for the ultra hand abilities in game on paper and technically it is impressive the way they managed to make it work in game but thats the thing thats about where it ends thats all it has going for it everything else is very mediocre and like i said it shows that all their time was just spent on the ultra hand gimmick again hence all the reused assets from BOTW. In my opinion nintendo is years behind the industry when it comes to modern games in every way like gameply, story, graphics, mechanics, presentation, production, accessibility etc. Mind you i know u see my profile pic its not bait all this is coming from a guy who truly loves zelda and is one of my favorite video game franchises of all time heck it was the first for me the one that started it all. Ive played and beaten most. ocarina of time being my favorite. This is how i truly feel and i know a lot of other zelda fans do as well
