The story was that my neighbor, who also has a license, lives a few houses up the street. He was out mowing the lawn so we thought maybe he had time for a quick qso on a band we didn't have in the log yet.

Ahh yes, i get it now: two paines in neighbours' assess are better than just one, right?

Så søte! De går i «frys»på rygg?
@LB7VJАй бұрын
Ja. De blir hypnotisert/paralysert av å ligge på ryggen og kan ligge sånn kjempelenge. Funker fint med høner også, men det må være rolig rundt dem. Fin hobby og gå rundt å legge høner på ryggen. 😬

It's a toys for big boys - 150 size is a tools for real work...
@LB7VJАй бұрын
I think its important ho have in mind that the premis for this video are tools for EDC carry. No one thinks that the Leatherman is a good tool for your «real work» either, but it's very practical to have with you. If you want to carry the 150 size, then good on you, but I think thats just to big to be an EDC tool. 👍
@alexst3333Ай бұрын
@@LB7VJ for my grandpa axe was an edc tool for hunting in forest - sample for size and weight differences in edc ) 150 it's tool, 125 tool with limitations, smaller sizes are toys. I have all of them, 125 only reasonable tool for edc.

Your grandpa sounds like a cool guy! 👍

Sure the 150mm is more capable...but the 300mm (a foot long) is much more capable than that dinky little 150mm toy you prefer. Only joking. Obviously it's always a trade off between portability and utility when we are considering EDC gear. I have the XS which punch way above their weight and for me personally, are more than adequate for EDC, way better than most multitool pliers. I have bigger versions at home.

Nice tools 👍 de WE0H ..

Thank you! Yes, they are surprisingly useful! For typical workshop repair use you get more done with bigger tools off course, but these are awesome combined with a multitool for POTA, SOTA and Bushcraft type applications. -73

Wow! That's a lot of noise just from some LED lights. At least you found the problem. I guess existing LEDs are probably fine, just power supply needs swapping out for better one?
@LB7VJ2 ай бұрын
The powersupply is a standard iPhone charger that does not make noise in that way when used to charge phones. The LED strip has a remote controll and some kind of bluetooth/wireless connection. I think the issue probably comes from that, but I’m going to test a different power. As of now we just disconnect them if I use my radio. 🤣
@gdj62982 ай бұрын
There would probably be noise from the fact that the LED's are being pulsed at a high rate. On/off = square waves = harmonics. Try changing the patterns and dimming/brightening the lights - if it makes a difference on your radio then it's not all the power supply's fault - it's just the way the strips work. BTW, I think most of those remotes are IR.

The radio appears ok in the video because I edited out the parts where I struggle the most. You can see that the power goes down on the tuner display sometimes, but again the worst parts are edited out. I therefore suspect that the radio did some of the QSB. Anyways, thank you so much for hunting, and for the QSO. -73 🙌
