Absolute agree! I put in also Lee Riteneur, Pat Metheny, Franco Cerri, Issei Onoro...a Little bit of Van Halen...but is not possible paragonare Matteo to this or an other... Matteo is UNICO...Joe Bonamassa said he changed, made a Revolution...he reinvented the guitar...so he is an alien...another Planet... irraggiungibile...👏👏👏

Around 2001, I found Word Jazz in a bargain bin and fell in love immediately. Emailed Ken Nordine maybe around 2006 and he actually replied - with verse - twice! What an artist.

The jazz guitar community doesn’t talk about bireli as much because he’s an alien and doesn’t operate under the restraint of humanity. One of the true “hidden bosses” like Holdsworth, Breau, Becker and Lane.

I saw Duke at Colston Hall Bristol UK. Mary Chapin Carpenter was out of this world. I'm sure I saw that very Strat he has here. The strings looked real heavy gauge to me and I well remember the wooden block under the front his amp. with "Sound enhancer" written on it ! GREAT NIGHT !

Duke is a great musician and a very nice guy. Saw him several times with the fabulous Peter Wolf (J. Geils Band), and now he tours with Bonnie Raitt.
