Delicious harmonising twixt the 3 harmonies, and individual Melodie’s from these talented musicians, why haven’t the telly channels given air time to real musicians of the folk world, far too much airtime taken up with pop nonentities and useless reality non event programmes. Truely skilful musicianship.

Love this mate. I was there for the festival and they were ace. Happy Mondays first, then Pet Sounds in the sun.

This version of the Albion Band didn’t last long at all, and not surprisingly at all. Despite Blair Dunlop being the son of Ashley Hutchings, the founder of the Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span and the original incarnations of the Albion Band, this version missed the mark. I don’t think they knew who their audience was so tried to be everything to everyone. This version of a wonderful song is a complete mess.

Saw him first in a small ChCh bar (300) with Ian Dury - scared the shit out of me, as a young guitar player starting out, I hadn't realized that degree of intensity was even possible, but thereafter even 40 something years later I like to think there's always something of Wilco in my performance, because I remember him when it's time to GO HARD, DELIVER THE FULL FORCE! Musicians all know that moment, and I guess we've all got various triggers we can pull at that point. Wilco was one of mine. RIP Wilco Johnson.

Can you tell me what your average pace was and average cycling hours per day? Did you follow the Via Francigena cycling route the entire time?
@richardmbsw192 жыл бұрын
Average speed was 12.4mph (20kmph). We averaged about 5 hours cycling per day. We followed the VF cycling route as far as we could. One day we caught the train because the weather was so bad. A few times, we avoided some off-road sections where there was a good on-road alternative. Another day we avoided some climbing by taking a slightly longer but flatter detour.
