Are there any good epistemology books that you would recommend? I read your book “ retrieving knowledge” which was great by the way. I want to learn more about rational pre-suppositionalism. I see that a lot in your work and Gangadeans.

Thank you for reaching out and for reading my book! That’s awesome. The BEST book to read on Rational Presuppositionalism is by Dr. Gangadean. amzn.to/3VNIXUM This is also great: amzn.to/3Pb9DuW Please let me know if you have any questions.

I have placed the evidence of huge rise in all cause mortality since 2021 in front of many journalists and they won't touch it.
@stevenmarvinranger2 ай бұрын
Part of this deception had to do with creating armchair heroes that were saving the world by getting a safe and effective jab. They felt superior and morally right so any challenge to the narrative was became a personal assault.

A second group of people denounced the policy of covid. We didn't fit in and have been let down by rule based control. I am dyslexic and had to rise about education in the 60s. So I have had to look beyond the false front of anything.

Kelly, what is your definition of human nature? Where is it located, i.e. mind, soul, memory? Thank you.
@kellyfitzsimmonsburton4 ай бұрын
Thank you for your question. I would define human nature as the way in which humans are conceived within a given world and life view. Since I am a Christian, I would say that a human is a body/soul unity. The body is extended, and the soul is rational and not extended. in addition, humans are made in the image of God, with thoughts, emotions, and will. We could say a lot more. But those are basic.

This step of identifying "protoepistemology" as a topic to apply to our existential situation before deeper, integrated thinking is useful and something I'll have to consider further. Thank you for sharing this.

I’m reading philosophical foundations and I don’t understand how if something is contrary to the law thought then it cannot be a thought Because I’m still thinking it? It’s just not right reasoning. Please direct me to further clarity.
@kellyfitzsimmonsburton8 ай бұрын
I am glad you are reading Philosophical Foundation. I hope it is helpful to you. If something is contrary to the laws of thought, then it cannot be. An example is a square circle. A square has four equal sides. A circle has all points on the circumference equidistant from the center. These are two different kinds of things. They cannot be equated. We cannot have a square circle. We cannot think a square circle. Does that help? If you have further questions on this topic, I would suggest checking out some of the Introduction to Philosophy lectures on reason. They are in this playlist: kzbin.info/aero/PLIFTXEjwfC5N6bWvKLVYn9Xy5E16ZCm3L&si=4KExbwhI7OITFrkA

Us sunnis also believe in the Mahdi. The Shias believe in a heretical understanding of the Mahdi. They do not believe in the proper mahdi.
@enacausmembrane11 ай бұрын
10:21 Actually no. These are not the only divisions. There are 73 different Divisions, some more popular than others, according to Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). The 3 you mentioned here are top 3 most popular ones right now, the popularity may change in the next century. However, Sunni Islam is the only correct understanding of Islam. Some of them are not included in the 73 divisions, like the ultra sufis who worship graves, they are not considered to be inside this 73 divisions at all. Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said 72/73 will go to the Hellfire.

i rationally justify utilitarianism under the notion that contributions to the greater good serve to make the path easier for future generations. this assumes suffering to be objectively bad though, which some stoics might disagree with this worldview heavily incorporates aspects of humanism and deontology, however

I hate confirmation bias so much, it's like a cult that everyone is into, and nobody is self-aware enough to know that they are doing it.
@atxelectrify Жыл бұрын
I will point out two problems with your argument. First, all you've shown is that a handful of explanations for an eternal universe are either empirically wrong or logically impossible. The problem is that doesn't show that all other possible scientific explanations are impossible. Second, and more importantly, there is a deeper problem with your approach. All of your supporting arguments for the minor premise (8, 9, and 10) rely on inductive inferences (that is, empirical observations). You cannot derive a logically certain conclusion from inductive premises. Elsewhere you have said "knowledge" and "clarity" require that you show the logical impossibility of the alternatives. Disproving a handful of explanations doesn't mean all explanations are impossible, and using induction to prove clarity is a fatal mistake.
@kellyfitzsimmonsburton Жыл бұрын
These same objections? The reasons for the minor premise for the first argument against material monism rely on reason not on inductive inferences. Go back and study the Logic videos on concept formation.

4:27 disagreed on this paragraph If there is being then how you can say that being came from non being 🤨🤨 Being came from your awareness from your question • Where do this world exist? - In your mind Bcause the world is not saying to you that it exist, it is you , your mind, your senses which witness the world Being came from your question and your assumption that you exist.... You feel that you are, so you exist... You exist because you are experiencing it... First assumption iis,"i exist and this world exist " this is fundamental mistake bcause you declared your experiences as truth This is द्वैत dwaita And your identity is अद्वैत non duallity

The knowledge about the ultimate-meaningful (Paramartha) realities (Dhamma) explains the scientific process between the mind (Citta), mental factors (Cetacika), and matter (Rupa). The international institue of Theravada is the best place to study about them online in English. Ven. Watawala Maggavihari Thera's explanations about the process of matter (Rupa) is superb.
