Man i got a buddy thats all in on ktm. Hes got a 390, 790 super duke, and 1290 superduke.. he bought all of them brand new. Those things are constantly in the shop. Im not talking bout a rookie either. Dudes a 59 y/o track guy. Been with it for 30 years. Ill stick with my zukes.. tough as hell and even more reliable. Plus the aftermarket for them is stupid strong.

Damn 😂 you would thing he would switch bikes if they gave him so many problems. But aside from the problems they are good bikes but for me it’s not worth the issues. I will just stick to my Japanese bikes as well.

KTM BIKES ARE EPIC!!! When they are not leaking coolant, bolts backing out from improper factory assembly, and most importantly not duking you #GETDUKED

KTMs are solid bikes. They last upwards of 100,000kms (> 70,000 miles) here in India if maintained well. This is more your luck, not the brand.

I agree for the most part they are solid, just some of them have small issues like this one. We fixed it in a few hours and it was easy.

They do look pretty good, lucky this one was just a small issue in the clutch we fixed pretty fast.

Basically a clutch spring bolt backed out making the slapping noise. Buying second hand is risky, yes but the problem stems from the factory. Me and my friends have bought plenty of bikes and the ktms always have issues but, they are usually small things.

@@zanemz Yes it is that zone is always a trouble spot during practice, qualifying, and race day. The top of turn 1 is also a great view by the Bubba Gump shrimp spot. For the stadium super trucks, Pine ave. Is a great spot to catch them jump and celebrate with the fans after the race doing burnouts/two wheeling.
