Just a pro tip... take off the turbo heat shield, on 2.2cdi engines take off the intake pipe. On 2,7cdi dont need to. After that remove the vacuum and low pressure fuel pump. Both with 8mm. Next take off the fuelpipes with 1 8mm tool, after that 14mm for the high pressure pipe. After that just 3 x 8mm tools for the high pressure pump and off it is. Takes time 5-10min to remove if.

Hi friend.. you can try a car / van wrecking yard or if the are numbers on the part try doing a parts number search online. You could always try to make something up yourself that you can drill a bolt hole through it

Oh dear, Not really the way I changed a broken belt on my sprinter on the side of a Spanish road took me less than 10 mins, all you need is a 10 mil socket then a 17 mil socket for the tensioner. The wife did not even have the time to make a cup of tea in the camper (sprinter T1N). I hope you have learned from this my friend, Brave to post it, maybe it's time to delete? Stay safe. ;-)

I have my 313cdi , 2001 , 2.1 litre 4 cylinder at the mechanics. Its a no start , problem started one day when i went to start after driving for an hour. It originally restarted with the help of Start ya bastard/ ether . They think it needs a new high pressure fuel pump as it has low fuel pressure in the fuel system . Just wondering if high pressure fuel pumps commonly fail with no warning ? Thanks for any information in advance 😊

Great vid, well presented Any ideas why once I changed fuel lines I’m getting fuel all the way up to rail but the rear fuel pressure sensor/ valve isn’t allowing fuel into the rail and to the injectors? I have replaced sensor!!!! Thank you

Hi, having a problem with my Mercedes Sprinter 2005, I turn the ignition off and the engine carrys on running for a second or two. Then the EDC light comes on when I turn the ignition on again, I'm assuming low rail pressure? I thought it was air in the fuel at first so have replaced all the fuel lines, new fuel filter and air filter and new fuel filter valve. Not getting any white smoke, still runs nicely only symptom I have is engine running for a couple seconds after keys removed. Do you think it could be a leaky injector, or any fault diagnosis you can recommend? Be much appreciated as other than taking it to a garage I don't know what to try next 🤦‍♂️

@Frankly speaking DIY I have a leaky transparent pipe where it meets the black rubber pipe, so will be leaning to replace that at the very least, will be looking to remove the pump and reapply loctite to the bolts behind, I don't think it's leaking from behind the pump but I'm looking to do all preventative maintenance whilst I have the frond end apart. A new pump for the hell of it and in the mean time rebuild the old one could be a potential idea

@@monolitomonolito2191 hi mate.. im based in sydney Australia so the only help i could give is via HERE.. if the van wont start i would first look at getting a scan tool or find a place that can come and scan the ecu for you. That way any problem that exists will show up. 2 things i can think of are 1.. not enough pressure built up in the common rail due to bad high pressure pump ( should read about 200psi when cranking) or clogged fuel filter. 2..it could be your crank shaft postion sensor. The van will not start if this has gone bad. Its located above the starter motor. I've just recorded a video of changing the starter motor out which you will see where the crank sensor is. The best thing to do is get it hooked up to a scan tool to see if you have some gremlins

@franklyspeakingdiy980
@franklyspeakingdiy980 2 жыл бұрын
It could be a number of reasons for it to ho into limp mode. It can be air, mas air flow sensor, fuel problem, a bad injector, clogged fuel filter etc. Can you give me more details as what happens when it goes into limp mode? Try resetting the ecu first. Take off the battery thermals for an hour or two then reconnect . See if that makes a difference. Always start small with the problem and work your way up
