Sorry for the delay, I never got a notification! We actually left the stroller at home and just used our baby carrier/let her walk! It worked really well ❤️ there were sooo many stairs around the city and at experienced that a stroller would’ve been such a pain.

It’s held up well! The additional shelves broke off in the move overseas but the contact paper and sink are still in tact and looking good!

Graf isn’t bad either from a base standpoint! At least you guys had decent food at your px 😂 But definitely prefer Hohenfels with the surrounding cities ❤️ we loved it so much! We’ll definitely try to go back if ever given the option

I feel like they were making up so many rules during Covid that just didn’t make sense 😂 it was seriously so stressful. I feel for your husband. I’m glad he had you to help him! We had our friend march down to the airport and yell at them in Portuguese until they put us on a flight 🤣 I don’t think we would’ve made it home without her haha

Also! Their wedding was in Sapiranga and our hotel was in Gramado!

It was more stressful for us than it was for them! Coming back was a nightmare (logistics of trying to get to Frankfurt 3 hours away and with 2 kids that we didn’t have before) but going there was fairly smooth! Just make sure you have the correct kennels, they’re UTD on all vaccines and you schedule their health certificate appointments within 10 days of your flight date. Also highly recommend the “PCS with pets” group (or something like that) on fb to answer any detailed questions. Everyone is very knowledgeable in that group ☺️

The reverse culture shock was insane! We’re still adjusting to life here 😅😂 we really hate the rushed culture and how everything is so fast paced. And the drivers are terribleeee. So many things we miss about Germany. We are grateful we got to spend 4 beautiful years there. I hope to take our girls back in the future when they’re older and show them where they were born! 🩷

Ooo what part of WA are you from?! That’s where I met my husband. The bakery was so good! I want to go back and try their coffee shop. And I agree, I love that it’s relaxed/go at your own pace! You could spend an hour or all day there with friends and family, it’s great!

@@jess1caweber we live not too far from Olympia. Yeah we have friends that moved to Decatur a year ago, so we went for a visit. Of course I’ve always wanted to go to the silos. It felt way different than I expected. I was worried hubby wouldn’t enjoy it( shopping lol) but it was so much more than that. It didn’t feel like shopping. I could have hung there all day. Tell your husband gas is $5 a gallon for the cheap stuff here lol, might even be more this week. Buckies is a pretty cool stop too lol. Texas was a lot of fun If you get a chance you should definitely go to Galveston and the Kemah boardwalk. Our daughter lived in Galveston for a while so I’ve been to Texas before

Thank you so much! I appreciate that a lot! If your daughter enjoys facing that way then I think that’s a great option! My toddler LOVED forward facing so she could see out in our Ergobaby 360. We let her down to walk the rest of the time and then faced her inward for naps. It also depends what time of year you’re visiting. Summers are awful hot and mosquitos are bad so you may want to opt for a stroller even though it’s a bit more of a hassle to lug around; it will keep her cooler than riding against your back. We went in November and it was perfect weather for us midwesterners.

If you do decide on a stroller, it’s a pretty stroller friendly city. All the buses had stroller areas and almost every experience we went to had ramps or elevators, even the colosseum.

Thank you! We LOVED Rome! So we utilized public transportation with our toddler (bus and subways for longer treks) and then we walked everywhere else! Our hotel had a shuttle that picked us up so we were able to avoid lugging a car seat to and from the airport. Ideally, it’s best to fly with the car seat so you can guarantee a safe way to transport your child but we had reserved those arrangements ahead of time and wanted to pack as light as possible! We ended up sharing one carry on for the 3 of us and brought the Ergobaby carrier as our only way of transporting her (no stroller because we didn’t want to lug it around and weren’t sure how many stairs there’d be with the colosseum and other attractions). Highly recommend just a baby carrier! Our daughter was just under 2 at the time of our trip and she napped in it while we were out and then when she wanted to run around we let her down! The beauty of Europe is that the inner-cities are mostly tucked away from traffic so you can let the kids explore without worrying they’ll get hit by a car. I’m so sorry I never updated; I wasn’t able to find anything similar so I have a feeling the previous owners screwed some small pieces of wood together to diy their own. It didn’t hold up well because they broke in our move back to the US 😔 my best suggestion would be to get the dimensions of the play kitchen and go to Home Depot/lowe’s and get some wood cut to diy. Or you may be able to find a “bathroom shelf/storage” that would work from Amazon with similar dimensions as the kitchen. Sorry I couldn’t find a link!

She is so empathetic lately 😍🥹 it’s so sweet to watch her respond to sad moments lol. Yes starbucks is terribleeee - I’ll stick to my homemade iced tea + Nespresso iced coffees which are way cheaper.
